{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Is Fall Finally Here? }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. Make a card, or a project, using Impression Obsession stamps and post a link to your creations on our challenge post at Impression Obsession Blog.
If you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store

Is Fall finally here? Not yet, but I am sure it will be here soon.

I am in love with Chevron patterns lately and I see them everywhere. I decided to create my own using one of Impression Obsession stamps! Borders WP31 clear stamp set. See below for links and photos.

I stamped the pattern on my card using Clearsnap ColorBox Archival Dye Ink: Mudslide. I started at the bottom and worked my way up.

I layered a tag over some old Basic Grey paper. It matched these colors perfectly. I stamped Large Solid Leaf Stem E8633 with Clearsnap ColorBox Archival Dye Ink: Pumpkin Pie. The other two leaves are stamped with Clearsnap ColorBox Archival Dye Ink: Khaki Green. The leaves are from Fall Wreath CL238 stamp set.  I tucked them under Prima flower with the Large Solid Leaf Stem.

I added a little twine with a jewel from Making Memories.

The sentiment, from TypeStacks All Season WP222  is stamped with Clearsnap ColorBox Pigment Ink: Cocoa.

I used Card Patterns sketch #132 for this card.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!

  4. Hi there,

    I am glad I checked to make sure I commented on this card! I love your creation! I love the layering behind the flower of the leaves and paper and how the sentiment comes out of this also. I also love that you used the IO borders to create the background. I don't have any of these stamp sets but it is such an original way to get them used again. Also, wonderful fall colors. This definitely makes me think of Fall! Thank you for sharing!
