{ Technique Tuesday All Stamping Tech challenge }

Hi and welcome to Technique Tuesday All Stamping Tech challenge. It's just something we do every month or so and this time the challenge was to make birthday card, scrapbook page or some other birthday themed project.

Here is my birthday card.

A cute little stamp set called Out of This World, at first glance a boy stamp set, but here it is all girl. The base is stamped with Passion for Polka stamped with Clearsnap Colorbox Dye ink in Banana. The same new inks I was using the other day
The chipboard shape from Fundamentals Swanky Frame set is colored with Rose Pink 081 watercolor crayon. The rocket was colored with Golden Yellow 020, Naples Yellow 021 and Orange 030.
The numbers were stamped with Clearsnap Colorbox Dye ink in Guava and I inked all the edges with Toffee Fluid Chalk Ink. The rocket and the sentiment are stamped with Colorbox Archival Dye ink in Wicked Black.

In addition to Sticky Strip Runner for the paper, 3D Foam Squares for the rocket, I used Sticky Dots Adhesive by Therm O Web to adhere the chipboard. This is so cool. I peeled the backing, placed my chipboard wrong side down on the dots, and replaced the backing. I flipped the whole thing over so I can use my bone folder to gently rub over the adhesive. My chipboard piece is totally covered.
I used Adhesive Pick-Up Square to remove any of the little stray Sticky Dots.

{ My Mind's Eye Challenge #25 --- card }

I know, I know, here I go again, but I couldn't resist. I got a new box of Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Inkpads in 12 dynamic colors and I had to try them out.

Here is my card for the card Blog Challenge 25

For the card I used two different stamp sets from Stella Rose collection by My Mind's Eye. The base patterned paper and the calendar note are from Meadowlark Dawn collection. The little pearl brad is from Stella Rose collection.

I started by stamping my base patterned paper with the larger doily stamp with Colorbox Dye Ink in Banana. I  stamped the smaller doily with Colorbox Dye Ink in  Bubblegum. The base patterned paper has faint polka dots on it and I used those as a reference for stamping the doilies. I inked all the edges with Toffee Fluid Chalk Ink.

I used white crepe paper streamer and colored it with River Mossy, Ice Rink (*new*) and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.  I love coloring white crepe paper streamers and if you follow my blog you have seen numerous projects with crepe paper. I used Sticky Strip Runner by Therm O Web to adhere the crepe paper to the paper base. I add a strip of Strip Runner adhesive to the bottom of the paper and then pleat the crepe paper. When adhering the patterened paper to cardstock make sure you add extra adhesive over the pleats, top only, and run the tape in the direction of the pleat.

This large doily is stamped with Colorbox Dye Ink in Banana on cream cardstock that I cut out. I just love this color.

I used 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web to give this doily some dimension.

I adhered the cabochon flower to the center of the doily with a large Zots adhesive dot from Therm O Web. I apply the flower to the adhesive dot, press lightly, and lift the cabochon from the sheet. These large Zots are perfect size and they cover the whole cabochon base.

I hope I explained everything. Let me know if you have any questions.

***Citrus Tree Studio Christmas in July crop is still going on. Come and check it out. ***

**Thank you for stopping by all week for Impression Obsession sneak peeks and for stopping by in general. I really appreciate all your sweet comments.  I am putting a little giveaway prize together for next week.***

{ My Mind's Eye Challenge #25 }

I wanted to share a layout I made for My Mind's Eye blog challenge #25.

I fell in love with the American Made collection and I was finally able to use it for the sketch challenge. The photo of Alex is from last year and I have way too many to count. Everything on the page is from MME. I added the little star banner from Echo Park sticker sheet that I found the other day. I hand stitched the stars and I used Nestabilities Dies Stars to outline the shapes. I went to a stamp show last weekend and won a gift certificate to one of the stores there and that is what I got.

I used my new Therm O Web adhesive on this project. For the patterned paper I used  Sticky Strip Runner (my favorite). For the pinwheel I used my other favorite adhesive, Zots (small)!!! I adhered one clear adhesive dot after each fold to give the pinwheel a little bit of dimension. To adhere the big pinwheel down I used Zots - Large. Perfect for a large area.

***If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, we have Christmas in July crop going on at Citrus Tree Studio starting right now. Lots of fun challenges and prizes!!!
Hope to see you there. My challenge starts at 6PM CST.
