{ October’s Technique Tuesday Stamping Tech Blog Hop }

Hello!
Welcome to October’s Technique Tuesday Stamping Tech Blog Hop!

It’s the time of year to give thanks to the important people in our lives. So this month, the Stamping Techs want to share with you some fabulous thank you cards.

Here is my card.

I stamped the image from Renaissance Remnants  stamp set with Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink and heat embossed it with Clearsnap Top Boss Embossing Powder: Opalescent Clear. I just love how that embossing powder looks on Kraft paper. The sentiment is from Fabulous by Ali Edwards stamp set and is stamped with a mixture of Chestnut Roan and Dark Brown

Be sure to check out the blogs of everyone taking part in today’s blog hop.

{ November Studio AE sneak peek and a layout }

Are you ready for November Studio AE? Here is a sneak peek.
What do you think?

Here is one more layout I created with October Studio AE.

I was asked by Kim Moreno to be the Guest Sketch Designer for October at My Scrapbook Nook. The photo is from the visit to the Pumpkin Patch last week. This was our second trip, Alex loves it.
I used some new goodies from Teresa Collins (stars paper) and a new Zig Zag Chain punch by EK Success.  Love it! The rolled flower is from My Little Shoebox! The flowers are die cut and all you have to do is roll them up. They are double sides and come in many shapes and sizes.

I used "So Very Thankful" as a large title on the page. I stamped it on patterned paper with Chestnut Road and a touch of  Pumpkin Spice. I stamped the 3D pumpkin again, like in my last layout. The words from the set are stamped with Dark Brown on patterned paper and cut out.

I have a fun technique card on Technique Tuesday blog. If you want to see how I created the Chevron border with Technique Tiles check out the blog.

{ My Memories Suite Review and Giveaway }

 I got to try out My Memories Suite Version 2.0. It's a digital scrapbooking software that helps you build scrapbook pages and albums. You can use various templates that come with the program or you can design your own pages from scratch.

Here is a page I created few minutes after installing the software.
I tried a little bit of everything on this page. I am a collector of digital kits and elements and I wanted to make sure that I am able to use everything that I have and what comes with the program. My Memories Suite comes with numerous templates to choose from and you can easily create beautiful pages in minutes.
Even though everything on the page can be altered, I love to create my own pages from scratch.

For this page I used All Boy Peek-A-Boo Overlays by Albums to Remember, downloaded from My Memories Suite for FREE. Every Friday they offer a freebie kit on their Facebook page. The "a, b,c" letters are Dirty Denim Monograms by K Studio, free, download from the website.
I added a Skinny Date Label and Block Label by Jennifer Pebbles.
Everything else on the page came from My Memories Suite program: stars, brads, dotted circle, and notebook edge. I added white mats to two of my photos.
When adding a title all your installed font shows up and I love that.

What do you think?

I was able to save this page as JPEG, but you can create photo albums, greeting cards, calendars, videos that you can burn to a DVD, and iPod/iPhone ready movie!
This would be perfect for Project Life or December Daily. My Memories  provides an online printing service that can print and bound photo albums in different sizes.

I did not have any problems using the program. I was able to look up everything that I needed in the PDF User Guide. Their blog has different video tutorials to help you. I love that I can use all my digital kits that I have with this program, and you can use the kits you purchase from My Memories store in other programs.
What I didn't like is that I couldn't edit the embellishments. For example, I could not change the color or texture of the embellishment. I would love to see more embellishments added to the software. I feel that the ones that are available are outdated and plain.

Now for the giveaway!

I am giving away one My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software.

{ Fresh Vintage Sizzix Blog Hop }

Welcome to the Sizzix Fresh Vintage Blog Hop.

I am so excited to be a part of this very talented group of designers bringing you inspiration each week. You are in for such a treat! Every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 6 weeks (this is week 4), one of the 12 dies in the Fresh Vintage collection will be featured. 6-10 projects for every die will be posted by 75 of the most creative designers in our industry.

To view the hop, you can click on the Fresh Vintage blinkie on the sidebar or immediately below. This will take you around to all of the designers on the hop OR you can see all the links on Eileen Hull's blog.

I was invited to create a project using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves.

Here is what I created.

I have some photos to show you how I created this little Christmas tree.

I started by stamping the cardstock with Clearsnap Jumbo Rollagraph Stamp Wheel Doodle, Clearsnap Jumbo Rollagraph Self-Inking Handle and Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink. I heat embossed with Clearsnap Top Boss Embossing Powder: Pearl. I made 3 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.
I used my Sizzix Big Shot Machine and Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves to die cut leaves for my project. I mostly die cut large leaves and then die cut smaller leaves as needed.

I slightly curled each leaf with and end of a paint brush. I started at the base of the cone and evenly spaced and adhered large leaves using sewing pins. I did glue the leaves once I had them in the right position. I alternated the three different sizes to fill up the cone.
I added Clearsnap Glue Gloss to each leaf tip and sprinkled with Clearsnap Glitter: Peridot.

I painted the little pot to match the embossed snowflakes. I cut apart Clearsnap Design Adhesive: Let's Party and created the border around the top edge with Clearsnap Glitter: Peridot. The ball at the top is from a little branch I got at a store last year and it matches the glitter perfectly!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my project!!!

Once again, to view the hop, you can click on the Fresh Vintage blinkie immediately below. This will take you around to all of the designers on the hop OR you can see all the links on Eileen Hull's blog.

*** [Hop back] or [Hop forward] to visit some other amazing projects***
