{ 2 Sketches 4 You #37, M's Sketch Challenge }

I had so much fun last night, creating, just for me. I received some new papers that I had to play with. I used Kazan's sketch #37 for this card. I even tried a new technique! Jeniffer McGuire is hosting week 2 of the Fall Stamp Camp at 2Peas and she is sharing some awesome background ideas.

I don't have all that fun ink stuff so I tried something different. I stamped a large Cover-a-card polka dot background stamp from Impression Obsession with VersaMark and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I used October Afternoon newsprint paper for my background. The fun part...I sprayed my background with Sea Foam Shimmerz Spritz. The spray beaded up on the embossed part and I was able to wipe it off. I love how it turned out. The butterfly is painted with yellow crackle paint and then I painted over that with Golden Wheat Shimmerz. The white Prima flower is painted with Wed Wagon Shimmerz, one of the new Vintage colors. It matched the colors I was working with perfectly. What do you think?

Here is another fun sketch, M's challenge #1. Savitri's daughter Emma made a sketch for us to play. Here is my card. I used October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup papers. The ribbon is May Arts...there is still time for Caardvarks ribbon challenge. I added this pretty flower from One Bright Spot Etsy store. I was a guest designer back in August on Jennifer's blog, Create Often. She has some really cute stuff in her store.

I sprayed the background with Rock-A-Fella Blue Shimmerz Spritz over a damask mask.

Enjoy your evening. I have a boy waiting for his bath and story, and another boy waiting to watch a couple of movies after that.

I will be back on Thursday with a DT challenge from Impression Obsession!
