{ Birthday wishes, My Scrapbook Nook October kit }

Alex and I worked on daddy's birthday card all week! He helped me cut the paper, ink the edges...he picked out the stamp and helped me stamp. He helped me with the buttons and he drew a pretty picture inside the card, too. We used CPS sketch #136 for the card.

The photos are from last night. We went out to a nice dinner and had cake at home. I baked and decorated the cake. Alex had so much fun blowing out the candles. He kept saying "more" after they were all out.

Here are two layouts and a card I created with My Scrapbook Nook October kit. The photo of Peter and Alex is from November 2008. I used everything from the kit and I sprayed the cardstock with Licorice Shimmerz Spritz.

I really like how this layout turned out. Photos are of my fall decorations from last year. I don't have many, but they are out again this year. It is cold today and it feels like fall. I used Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the butterflies that I sprayed with Rock-a-fella blue Shimmerz Spritz. One last card. I added the ribbon that I had for ever! The stamp is JustRite from their Autumn Blessings collection. I colored the pumpkins with my new set of Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I think that is all for now. I made some yummy chicken tortilla soup that is waiting for me and my little family. Have a great night. I will be back with my Project 365 photos, week 39.
