Hi and welcome to our Impression Obsession challenge – Give Thanks. We had lots of participation in our last challenge, “Feeling Blue”, and I hope this one is just as fun.
My card today has a very interesting color combo. Not my typical colors, but I really liked the challenge at Color Throwdown #367: gold, coral and green!
If you know me and have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I like to mix different stamps and patterns together. One of these days I might make a clean and simple card, but not yet.
I started with the Tapestry Tag that I layered over All-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2 I die cut from gold paper. The Peony, from Peony Set 2 and Peony Set 1, is stamped with Cameo Coral, old Stampin’ Up ink that I had for ages. I was able to achieve different shades by stamping off for the first, light layer, and then stamping with regular color, and third layer I double stamped. It worked with one ink pad. That is the only coral color I have. Same with the leaves. I used Old Olive.
I fussy cut the flower and leaves and added foam adhesive to the flower for dimension. The card base is stamped with Cover-a-card Screen. The sentiment is from Be Grateful stamp set. I added twine and sequins to finish the card.
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #293 for this card.
