{ Goodbye 2011 and Hello 2012 }

I just can’t believe that tomorrow is the last day of 2011. I am always a little sad when a year comes to an end and excited to see what the new one will bring.
2011 was good to me!
Here is a little card I wanted to share, as my last post/project for this year. I used Impression Obsession stamps, Clearsnap ink and Therm O Web adhesive.

Hope joy happiness Daniela Dobson Impression Obsession 4025
I started by stamping my background with Silhouette 1 and Flower 1 stamp in Bubblegum and Grasshopper ink.

I stamped the Spatter stamp using Robin’s Egg ink, Large Solid Leaf Stem with Grasshopper ink and Silhouette 15 butterflies with Banana ink.
I used Mojo Monday 221 for the card.

That is all from me for today. Going back outside with Alex to enjoy this warm weather.

{ January Studio AE Sneak Peek and a layout }

January is in a few days and it’s time for a sneak peek of January Studio AE.
I wanted to participate in a challenge at Two Peas in a Bucket by Jenny Chesnick to use frames on a layout. I was playing around with my Silhouette Cameo and I created these two frames around the photos. In addition, I used Jen Gallacher’s Stretch Your Sketch challenge. Technique Tuesday stamps were perfect for this layout.
The frames are for 2.25 x 3.25” size photo. The inner opening is 2.15 x 3.15”. I am going to share the files at the bottom of the post.
Everyday 39966
I stamped “memories” from Favorite Memories by Ali Edwards in Royal Blue Ink. The days of the week from Ordinary Days by Ali Edwards are stamped with the same ink.
I added a letter “A” from Just My Type stamp set, that I cut out and adhered using 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web.

“Everyday” is cut with my Silhouette Cameo and the word is by Karla Dudley. I used some papers that were laying around on my desk, new brads from My Mind’s Eye and a really old travel tag from Making Memories.

These files are for personal use only and will work with Silhouette Cameo. You can resize them as you wish. The frames are for 2.25 x 3.25” photos and the inner opening is 2.15 x 3.15”.
Let me know if you have any questions.

{ The day after }

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We had so much fun! When the day was over Alex was asking: “why was Christmas only one day? When is Christmas again?”
He was a happy little boy and we couldn’t get him away from his new train table.

He wanted to know why Santa left some of his cookie? He is still talking about that. At least he let him come down the chimney. Last year he had to come through the front door.

I love this photo of us on Christmas morning.
Here is a digital layout I created  for Two Peas in a Bucket as I am a part of their Digital Creative Team.
This is a photo of Alex when we started decorating the tree earlier in the month. I love the little banners and the colors that are in the December Peas Soup kits.
