{ May Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our May 2013 Blog Hop.
Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE – Heartfelt - May 2013.

Here is my layout.

Love by Daniela Dobson

I love how this layout turned out. I started by stamping the images and using my watercolor crayons to color them. I cut them out and arranged them on the sides of the photos. Lots of little embellishments and stickers on the page from My Mind’s Eye.

I wrote “love” lightly in pencil and poked holes along the lines and added stitching.  Splattered some yellow paint at the bottom.

Recently I made this little pillow using the same stamp set. I colored the hearts with watercolor crayons. The quote is from Mama = Love by Ali Edwards.

{ December Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop }

Welcome to our December Studio AE Blog Hop.

Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE – My Life – December 2012.

I created a mini accordion album. I downloaded the album from the Silhouette Store, by Lori Whitlock.

I used My Mind’s Eye patterned paper to cover the album cover, inside pages and the tags. I have to tell you that this was really easy to make. The hardest part for me was deciding which photos to use. They are all 2 x 2 inches, and once I had them printed the mini came together pretty quick.

The 3d accordion file folder mini album comes with a belly band, but I used ribbon. Once tied you can easily remove it to open and view the inside pages.

I tried to coordinate all the patterned papers and the embellishments. I went through my stash and pulled all the yellow and pink items.

These tags are really fun. They are all different shapes and fit nicely inside the pockets. I added stamping to each page with a photo. I will add journaling on the back to talk about each of the photos/events in my life.

For the embellishments on the tags I added different washi tape to the bottom of each one.

{ CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #1 }

My team member Jackie started a new challenge blog called CAS(E) this Sketch! I loved the sketch for this first challenge and I thought I would give it a try. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am not clean and simple, at all. This was really a challenge. I like to pile things on my cards.

I hope this will work and I won’t get disqualified, LOL. Jackie, go easy on me. I ended up making two cards.

This first one I created using My Mind’s Eye The Sweetest Thing collection. If you missed my review and my projects you can see them on The Scrap Review blog.
I started with two strips of washi tape. Punched circles with a punch (I know, I didn’t use my Cameo – shocked!). I stitched the circles with my sewing machine and added the layered sticker embellishment. I stamped my sentiment and added the enamel dots, that I love.

This card fits perfectly for My Mind’s Eye October challenge, to incorporate stamps into a project and Simon Says ,,,,, DIES and/or PUNCHES challenge.

This next card uses brand new December Daily stamp set by Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday. This will be available in Studio Calico December Daily kit.

For this card I used tape again, it’s not washi, but clear tape that I picked up at Target or Walmart. I used two different stamps, one above and one below the tape. The flower is from an old holiday set from Making Memories. Then I stamped the little greater-than sign, or arrow part, not sure what to call it, on white cardstock. I cut the strips and tucked them under the flower.

That is all from me today. Have a great Sunday!

{ October Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop }

Welcome to our October Studio AE Blog Hop.
Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE - December Joys - October 2012
Here is my layout.

I do not have any Christmas/Holiday themed paper. I have some bits and pieces that are really old. I have recently cleaned my studio and I know I don’t have any. I thought that The Sweetest Thing collection from My Mind’s Eye works perfectly. What do you think? Red with a touch of green and blue.
I used several Technique Tuesday sets to add to the layout. I used Measure up stamp set to add some stamping to the left of the photo and to the top of the page. The star is from Awesome stamp set and I stamped that randomly, but in some order from bottom left to the top right corner.
I added some dimensional stickers and Enamel dots from the same My Mind’s Eye collection.

{ Snow Day and Silhouette Cameo }

Here is a layout I created for Therm O Web in September of last year. We had this huge winter snow in February and we got to sled on a hill behind our house. So much fun.

I created a Chevron template using my Cricut and that is how I cut the patterned paper for this layout. I used Superstik Glue Stick by Therm O Web to add a tiny line town the middle of my cut out chevron, and then I stitched it down.

I first used the chevron template on this layout. I will try creating another template with my Silhouette Cameo and that way I can share the file.

I adhered the chipboard letters with Sticky Dots Adhesive by Therm O Web. You just place the letters on the sheet, rub on the back to transfer the adhesive. All of the surface is covered with adhesive. Perfect for these shapes.

I have a mixture of patterned paper and embellishments from Studio Calico, My Mind’s Eye and Echo Park. The little banners and tags are from Elle’s Studio. The stars are from Stamps of Life by Stephanie Bernard.

I am having so much fun with my Silhouette Cameo. I am creating and cutting my own shapes. Some on here I downloaded from the internet. Using some of these on a project right now.
