{ Document December 2020 #stayhome for the Holidays }

Stay Home For The Holidays collection by Traci Reed is perfect for what is going on currently. Even though I am not documenting December Daily activities, I am still documenting December. I decided to create a mini album made of envelopes. This is based on an album that I created a few years ago documenting out summer vacation in Florida. I loved the style of it and the ability to add multiple photos and journaling. More photos of the 2017 summer album HERE.

The envelopes are 4-1/8 x 9-1/2 inches, also called a #10 envelope, and I used three to create this album. After sealing the envelopes, I cut both ends off (1/4″ from the end) and each is folded at 3 inches from the left, then adhered with the short 3” side to the back of the 6” side. That creates 6 different pockets, two small and two large, to tuck in photos, tags and journaling. Then I took two pieces of white cardstock, sized at 4-1/4″ x 6-1/8″, and adhered one to the front, and one to the back of the envelope stack. On the outside of the cardstock, I adhered patterned paper from the #stayhome for the Holidays collection, creating a cover and back page.

{ Gratitude Memorydex challenge }

 I wanted to share my #gratitudememorydexchallenge on Instagram. You can follow me there and you can follow the hashtag. I am creating little videos to show how I created each card. This is my cover for the Memorydex gratitude challenge. I have gathered various "fall" items from my stash (see below).

I have been creating these little cards and writing down what I am grateful daily. I am getting creative with tucking a journaling tag or card somewhere on the memorydex. I created envelopes in my Silhouette Studio. I had lost of questions on Instagram on where to find these. I am sharing them here. You just need to punch holes at the bottom.

{ Traveler's Notebook storage holder }

 I have designed my own holder for Traveler's Notebooks. I have been subscribing to Studio Calico TN kits and this is my second year. I store TNs in each pouch that they come with, but that just became too much trouble to find and get out. I searched on line for a template of some sort and couldn't find anything. I created my own. I first made one on the right by cutting cardstock. Then, I drew my design is Silhouette Studio and cut out the pieces with my Cameo. I shared this photo on Instagram and got requests to share it. See below for file.

I cut a piece of patterned paper and wrapped it around the base of the one on the right. That required 2 pieces of 12" patterned paper and they overlap. For the one on the left I designed to cut a piece just for the front since that is the part you see. In addition, I have a square pice that fits on the bottom. I used it as a template and cut it out from a heavier piece of carboard to make it more sturdy.

I was able to fit a bunch, however, they are not all full yet. Once they become filled with photos and embellishments I can maybe get six  or eight in. I will see. Totally random width was chosen based on my own preference.

{ MemoryDex by Heidi Swapp revisited }

Hello and happy 2020!

I decided to document my daily life using MemoryDex. I have purchased the MemoryDex spinner a few years ago. I have since created several boxes with cards to use for various projects. I do have the original MemoryDex Desktop Tray Holder by Heidi Swapp. There are lots of videos on youtube on how to create one. There are various free files for the cards and there are ones you can purchase. I have all the MemoryDex dies and I have the punch. I guess I got lucky. This system has been around since 2015. I know that American Crafts produced more of the discontinued items recently. You can find some of the items on Scrapbook.com, Amazon and Heidi Swapp website. 

I am sharing two free files in this blog post. One is the rolodex card and it fits Heidi Swapp system and it fits paper straws (see photos below). The other one is the diamond shape I used for one of my cards created for the Instagram challenge hosted by Damaris @atstudiod and Caroline @caroline_mae_m. I will be sharing my projects on Instagram you can follow me there.

{ Technique Tuesday September 2018 Release Day }

Hello and welcome to our Release Day. Make sure you check out the Technique Tuesday blog for product features and links to DT blogs for inspiration.

I created a mini album using Story of December Days Stamp Set and December Moments Stamp Set. I thought about this for a while, trying to figure out what to do. I designed a mini pocket album in my Silhouette Studio. Recently I pulled out my Christmas stash (if you follow me on Instagram). I used various patterned papers to cut the pocket tags. The pockets are big enough to accommodate a die cut tag from Story Card - Paper Crafting Dies.

December is always so busy and I want to document only certain days, or events. My plan is one pocket tag for each person in the family and fill it with favorite moments, photos and notes.

This is how I am storing all my things I need for the mini. Stamped and die cut tags, ink, washi, dies, embellishments and ribbon.

Story Card - Paper Crafting Dies are perfect to document special moments with journaling and/or photos.

I stamped various elements from Story of December Days Stamp Set and used Postage Card Crafting Dies. They fit perfectly.

In addition, I used Santa Mail Stamp Set to add additional embellishments to the album.

I created additional backgrounds for the pockets.

Here is what each pocket is filled with. These are various tags and embellishments I have in my stash.

Here are photos of the tags that are tucked inside. I will add more tags that I die cut and stamped, photos and bits and pieces.

There are so many other stamps and dies that you can add to this mini, or any type of project.

{ Case File No. 257 with Therm O Web }

I participated in a fun little challenge over at CSI challenge blog. I used Simple Stories Hello Summer Collection.  Here is my layout.

This layout was created for CSI Case File No. 257. This is how I solved the Case File: I used pops of yellow from the inspiration photo, I was inspired by the clouds and added my own die cut clouds with Deco Foil polka dots.I added various circle elements and flowers. I documented something about summer.
