{ Exclusive October kit from Elle’s Studio }

Remember the wonderful October kit I shared on my blog earlier this month? We still have some left if you want one. I created two  more cards with the kit.

Thankful by Daniela Dobson

This second one features the NEW cut files that go with the kit. I cut the frame and the banners from watercolor paper and colored each one with watercolor crayons to match all the other colors in the kit. You can see more examples on Elle’s Studio blog.

Thanks so much by Daniela Dobson

I sprinkled the frame with Color Shine. The flair is from {A Flair For Buttons} and it matched the colors perfectly.

Have you seen these? I love them!! You can find them in the store.

Have a great night. I have a fun announcement coming tomorrow.

{ November Studio AE Sneak Peek }

Here is a little peak of November Studio AE.

Photo Oct 27, 6 24 56 PM

You asked for it so we've brought our popular 25 Moments by Ali Edwards stamp set out of retirement. If you are starting to think about how to document your December, you may want to consider adding this stamp set to your stash.

That is my little album there, do you remember seeing it here…if you want to see it again I have it in this blog post.

We've just released seven stamp sets, two new steel dies and some digital cut files as part of something we are calling our "So Very Social" release!

It seems everyone is texting, Tweeting, Instagraming, and Facebooking their daily life, which is why our October release is all about being social! You'll find stamp sets, steel dies, and digital cut files (SVGs) that include the perfect phrases and images to go with all your "selfies" and "photobombs". Whether you say #coolestever, #sodangcute or #hellogirlfriend, you'll find something to love in this release!

You can see the release in the first three rows on the New for 2013 page on our Web site!

{ 100 Days of Tombow }

Recently I got a package from Tombow to participate in their “100 Days of Tombow”. The  program involves working with 100 different bloggers across America to spotlight their creativity using Tombow’s products, and showcasing how “Tombow Time” is enjoyed across the nation. For each blogger that participates, Tombow will give a $100 product donation to the Council for Art Education.

Here is what I created.

Hello by Daniela Dobson

I covered the CAC Scratches stamp from Impression Obsession with blue market from Groovy Dual Brush Pen set, spritzed some water over the top and stamped it on white cardstock. I stamped the chevron with black ink and filled it with Midnight Blue colored pencil from Irojiten color Pencils set with a touch of Maple Sugar.

The arrow is stamped and colored with orange marker. I cut it out and adhered it with the Dot Pattern Adhesive. The heart wood veneer is colored with the orange marker, as well.

This is the package I got. It includes Tombow's Stamp Runner Dot Pattern Adhesive, Tombow's Dual Brush Pen Set, and Tombow's New Irojiten Color Dictionary Pencils.

I would like to thank Tombow USA for letting me participate in this fun program.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Favorite technique }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Favorite technique.

Our challenge starts today, October 17, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, October 23, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between October 17-23. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Thank you by Daniela Dobson

My favorite technique is heat embossing the background and then adding spray mist for the color. This time I wanted to do something different and I added paint instead. I heat embossed using blue embossing powder. The paint is those new Hero Arts doubers, and it really is that bright.

Thank you embossing by Daniela Dobson

I stamped the butterflies with the same color. The leaves are stamped and die cut. I love that branch die. I used to cut it out with my scissors.

I added a fun trim under the ribbon. The sentiment is curved to match the curve of the die cut banner.

Thank you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created. I hope you play along.

{ Exclusive October kit from Elle’s Studio }

***I have been busy and have two posts up today. If you are looking for October Studio AE blog hop see the post below.***

I was recently asked to join Elle’s Studio Contributing Design Team. This is an addition to their regular Design Team and will be made up of past Design Team members and guests.

I will be working exclusively with Elle’s Studio monthly kits, which I love!

*October’s kit features 24 journaling and embellishment tags
*It is available today, on the 10th, for $9.99 and then the price goes to $11.99 at midnight PST.
*The kit is exclusive to Elle’s Studio and a limited edition – once the kit is sold out it is gone for ever!

*BRAND NEW SURPRISE! Coordinating cut files are now available!

Here is what I created with the kit.

Notes from Halloween by Daniela Dobson

I loved that the packaging matched the kit and I used it as a base under my photos. There was a touch of blue and yellow in the kit so I looked in my paper stash and found several pieces from Penelope and Cameron paper collection packs that had the same colors, including black striped paper. The flair is from Tell Your Story flair set from {A Flair For Buttons}.

Notes flom Halloween close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I was playing around with some glitter and added a 1/8 inch SuperTape to the tag and on the page and added glitter. SuperTape is sticky on both sides, you peel one end and adhere it down, then you peel the top layer and add glitter. I did the same thing with the star in the upper right corner, except the star is punched out from iCraft Adhesive sheet, sticky on both sides.

Make sure you check out Elle’s Studio blog for other kit ideas that the DT will be showcasing throughout the month.
I have another project that I will share later on that uses the brand new cut files!

{ October Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our October 2013 Blog Hop.

Today we are featuring projects made with Hello December - Studio AE –October 2013.

Here is my layout.

December traditions by Daniela Dobson

I gathered all my green inks and started stamping the star strips on white cardstock. Once I had enough, I cut them out and adhered them to the center of the white cardstock, totally random. From there I added the photos and they are all adhered using 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web.

Do you think I went a little star crazy??? I do love stars and some of them I have been hoarding for a long time….like those Jenni Bowlin green star stickers and the red polka dot star. Not sure if those still exist. Happy I was able to use them today.

I couldn’t complete the layout without any flair. I received some new holiday ones from {A Flair For Buttons} and these used here are from Hashtag Winter Flair, and the blue stripped one is from Stripes 2. It fits perfectly with my touch of blue that I love and got the idea from new Elle’s Studio Noel paper collection.

****We are going to give away one $25 gift certificate after the hop. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is comment during the hop! The lucky winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.
