{ Document December 2020 #stayhome for the Holidays }

Stay Home For The Holidays collection by Traci Reed is perfect for what is going on currently. Even though I am not documenting December Daily activities, I am still documenting December. I decided to create a mini album made of envelopes. This is based on an album that I created a few years ago documenting out summer vacation in Florida. I loved the style of it and the ability to add multiple photos and journaling. More photos of the 2017 summer album HERE

Here is the current mini album.

The envelopes are 4-1/8 x 9-1/2 inches, also called a #10 envelope, and I used three to create this album. After sealing the envelopes, I cut both ends off (1/4″ from the end) and each is folded at 3 inches from the left, then adhered with the short 3” side to the back of the 6” side. That creates 6 different pockets, two small and two large, to tuck in photos, tags and journaling. Then I took two pieces of white cardstock, sized at 4-1/4″ x 6-1/8″, and adhered one to the front, and one to the back of the envelope stack. On the outside of the cardstock, I adhered patterned paper from the #stayhome for the Holidays collection, creating a cover and back page.

{ Traci Reed Designs - Design Team }

 I have neglected this little blog of  mine that I started in January 2007. That is almost 14 years ago. I have been on numerous design teams, and participated in many challenges over that time. Two weeks ago I joined Traci Reed Designs Design Team. I will be creating hybrid projects using all her digital collections. I will still create all the fun things that I love, just not posting as often on the blog. Majority of my creations are on Instagram. Since going back to work full time there aren't enough hours in the day for all the things I would like to do.

I have been creating in my Traveler's Notebook for the past few years and I really like the smaller size. Here are some of the layouts I created using Seek Gratitude collection.

One for the MemoryDex. I have a blog post about Gratitude challenge that you can check out where I made several different memorydex cards for my Memorydex spinner

This one I created using All The Thanks For This collection using Traveler's Notebook papers and printable stickers.

Traci Reed Designs is having a storewide sale through Tuesday at noon EST with code BF2020-40.

I hope you stick around.

{ Gratitude Memorydex challenge }

 I wanted to share my #gratitudememorydexchallenge on Instagram. You can follow me there and you can follow the hashtag. I am creating little videos to show how I created each card. Memorydex is back in style and available at Scrapbook.com. Blush rolodex spinner is available exclusively at scrapbook.com along with other items like the memorydex hole punch and dies

I have been participating in another memorydex  Instagram challenge hosted by Damaris @atstudiod and Caroline @caroline_mae_m since January. You can see my original post HERE. In that post I am sharing rolodex cards I created in my Silhouette Studio (freebies).

This is my cover for the Memorydex gratitude challenge. I have gathered various "fall" items from my stash (see below).

Stash.

I have been creating these little cards and writing down what I am grateful daily. I am getting creative with tucking a journaling tag or card somewhere on the memorydex. I created envelopes in my Silhouette Studio. I had lost of questions on Instagram on where to find these. I am sharing them here. You just need to punch holes at the bottom.

{ Traveler's Notebook storage holder }

 I have designed my own holder for Traveler's Notebooks. I have been subscribing to Studio Calico TN kits and this is my second year. I store TNs in each pouch that they come with, but that just became too much trouble to find and get out. I searched on line for a template of some sort and couldn't find anything. I created my own. I first made one on the right by cutting cardstock. Then, I drew my design is Silhouette Studio and cut out the pieces with my Cameo. I shared this photo on Instagram and got requests to share it. See below for file.

I cut a piece of patterned paper and wrapped it around the base of the one on the right. That required 2 pieces of 12" patterned paper and they overlap. For the one on the left I designed to cut a piece just for the front since that is the part you see. In addition, I have a square pice that fits on the bottom. I used it as a template and cut it out from a heavier piece of carboard to make it more sturdy.

I was able to fit a bunch, however, they are not all full yet. Once they become filled with photos and embellishments I can maybe get six  or eight in. I will see. Totally random width was chosen based on my own preference.

{ Impression Obsession DT Challenge – Autumn Colors }

 Hello and welcome to our Impression Obsession challenge – Autumn colors.

Here is my card.

For this card I went with layers. Lots of layers. The base is yellow and white paint with a few drops of Color Shine. Next, I stamped splatters and grunge circle. I layered die cut tags and a circle with leaves. I used foam adhesive from Therm O Web to add dimension. I added die cut "thanks" for my sentiment and finished the card with pearls and twine.

 Hello and welcome to Die Cut Obsession. We have set aside a couple days to share some fabulous new Impression Obsession die projects! Have fun checking out what our Designers have made today. Today's participants can be found on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Here is my card.

For this card I started stamping the background with Silhouette 15 (butterflies) in Peach ink.
I embossed a piece of vellum with tiny dots. The tag is die cut from patterned paper. I layered die cut tag with die cut "thanks".  I tucked in a little stamped striped image in orange ink. The butterflies are die cut from yellow cardstock: Fancy Butterfly and Medium Butterflies. I added an orange bow and enamel dots.

NEW! Digital Stamps
Digital stamps? What are those? Digital stamps are high resolution graphics files that you can download and print on your home printer. You can then color them in and use them just as you would rubber stamps.

Our original artist, Gary Robertson, draws very detailed pen and ink images that are perfect for using this way. Why would you want digital stamps instead of rubber stamps? Well, they are significantly less expensive. They are also instant gratification. When you order them you receive an email to download them immediately. We love our rubber stamps and there are many techniques you can't do with digital stamps that you can do with rubber, but these are an amazingly affordable option.

We have made 12 of our Gary Robertson stamps available for FREE so you can try them out before you invest money in them. We are also incredibly excited to offer you dozens of FREE digital stamps from Lindsay Ostrom and Nola Chandler which are uplifting and fun designs perfect to use in this time of social distancing.

{ Impression Obsession - Old Is New }

Hello and welcome to another Old is New blog post.

With such a huge collection of wonderful stamps from so many artists, sometimes the older stamps in the Impression Obsession catalog find their way out of the spotlight. We don't want them to be forgotten, so from now on you'll be seeing our team feature them regularly. We hope you're inspired!

Here is my card.

This card came together in less than 10 minutes. I went into my stamp drawer and grabbed several stamps that I liked and wanted to use (see list below). I used a patterned piece of paper and stamped Splat 1 using Impression Obsession Hybrid Ink.
I layered several pieces of paper that were laying around, washi tape and a piece of vellum with black polka dots.
For the Solid Scallop Heart I only had a scrap piece of white cardstock so that is why I only have half of a heart.
The diagonal stripes was a left piece of stamped cardstock I used on another project, but I love all the Mini Patterns. There are nine sets and you should check them out.
Finally I stamped the sentiment. I love the way it turned out.
