{ March 2014 Studio AE sneak peek }

I just received my March Studio AE stamp set and here is a little sneak peek of the card that will go live on March 1st.

Well done close 00 by Daniela Dobson

While I had all my supplies out I created one more card with February Best Banners- Studio AE using my favorite colors.

Love by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used Steel Die –Heart Card. I used watercolor to color the inside of the die cut, yellow. I added paste with Heidi Swapp Confetti stencil to get the white hearts. The challenge on Simon Says Stamp blog this week is to use paste and I thought it was perfect for this card. I used sketch challenge 477 for the card and RCC90 for washi and twine.

I used one of the tags from Elle’s Studio exclusive February kit to layer under my die cut. The stamped banner is tucked under the flair from {A Flair For Buttons}. I tied some twine into a bow and tucked it underneath the flair. In addition to the banners I used Labels by Ali Edwards stamp set.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Favorite Technique }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Favorite Technique!

Our challenge starts today, February 20, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, February 26, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between February 20-26. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

This time my favorite technique is die cutting. Especially stamping on a coordinating die. As much as I love to fussy cut, it’s just easier to die cut.

Here is my card featuring brand new die and a matching stamp set:

DIE148-L Bunch of Blossoms DIES
CS540 Bunch of Blossoms CLEAR STAMPS

Thank you by Daniela Dobson 0314

I started by adding washi tape to the bottom alternating with a striped stamp from Basic Borders 1 stamp set. Washi idea came from Ribbon Carousel RRC90 to use washi on a card. The top of the card I sprayed with Heidi Swapp color shine and added die cut clouds. The card is based on a sketch from Fusion #4 challenge.

Here is what the stamp set and dies look like.

I used Pennants die and a matching stamp for my flower placement. There are several different flowers in this set and they are really easy to match up to the dies. I doubled my cardstock and so I had several different die cut flowers. I felt that I needed some leaves so I used Leaf Cluster die. I colored them with Faber Castel Gelatos.

The sentiment, from Warm Fuzzies Sentiments set, coordinates with Banners & Tails Die set.

Thank you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created.

I hope you play along.

{ Reverse Confetti February Color Challenge }

Hi and welcome to our February Color Challenge – cranberry, light blue and gray.

Here is my card. If you are seeing Navy on my card, your eyes are not deceiving you. I did use navy instead of gray. I was looking at the photo only and not reading the actual color. I goofed. I hope you like it anyway.

Just for you by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #123. I already had these white circles lying around. Some I stamped and some I added embellishments to. Two circles are stamped with Whole Lotta Dots and So Stripey. The heart is from Whole Lotta Hearts. I cut one heart out and added it to the circle with 3D foam squares. The sentiment is from Sweet Thing stamp set.

Just for you close by Daniela Dobson

Thanks so much for stopping by.

{ Exclusive February kit from Elle’s Studio }

**This is my second post for the day. You can find February Studio AE blog hop in the post below or click HERE.***

Exclusive February kit is out and ready for purchase.

Here is my layout.

Love by Daniela Dobson

How fun is this kit??? I love it. I am using brand new patterned papers from Everyday Moments collection. Love the colors and they go perfectly with the kit. The little arrows are stickers that I received recently that I added to this layout.
The striped tag that is behind the photo is cut in half and adhered to the top and bottom to make it appear longer. I added wood veneers with Zots adhesive dots from Therm O Web.
I added different colors of twine to the bottom of the page to match all the colors of the layout.

{ February Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our January 2014 Blog Hop. Today we are featuring projects made with  Best Banners- Studio AE – February 2014.

Here is my layout.

Love this by Daniela Dobson

For this layout everything started with the photos, but I fell in love with this patterned paper from Basic Grey Fresh Cut collection. It just arrived the other day from Emma’s Paperie. I will have to go back and get more.

This is the first time I played around with For the Record stamp set. There are several different sets that go with the Story Card die to make a journaling card. The possibilities are endless. I made the border and then stamped the lines in the middle. There are various little words you can add to it. I can’t wait to make more and try the other sets.

I stamped the two banners from the new Best Banners stamp set and cut them out. That became my title as well.

Love this close by Daniela Dobson

****We are going to give away one $25 gift certificate after the hop. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is comment during the hop! The lucky winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.***
