{ January Studio AE Sneak Peek }

Here is a little sneak peek for January 2014 Studio AE. I can’t believe the new year arrives in just a few days.

Be back on January first for a full reveal of the project and the stamp set, plus a fun little giveaway from me to you!

Here is one more card I didn’t get to share that I created for Technique Tuesday using Say It - Hello steel die to die-cut "hello" from patterned paper. Then I stamped the word "friend" with our Say It - Hello stamp set. In addition, I used our Home Circle Card die to create the fun frame element and Fun Flair by Ali Edwards set to stamp the frame's circle element.

I embossed the stamp with green, sparkly embossing powder after I stamped it on vellum. I used Season's Greetings stamp.

Here is one more where I got the look by cutting a Story Card base (with the Story Card DIY steel die) from cardstock and then painting it with chalkboard paint. I stamped on top with stamps from the Merry Christmas stamp set.

{ Reverse Confetti December Color Challenge }

Hi and welcome to our December Color Challenge – red, pink and lime.

Here is my card

Jingle all the way by Daniela Dobson

I used So Stripey stamp set to stamp the bottom of white cardstock. I added a strip of washi tape. It matched these colors perfectly.

Two more stamped banners in lime and pink added to the top of the card. For my red, I added twine with a jingle bell and a sentiment from Tinsel ‘n Trim stamp set.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

It is my turn today to share a card I made using Impression Obsession stamps. Here is what I created.

Thank you by Daniela Dobson

You know me, I used more than one set of stamps on a card. I didn’t know what I was going to do, so, I went into my stamp drawer and pulled some stamps that I haven’t used (in a while). It all worked well together.

I started by stamping the Ledger cover-a-card on my card base. I did use ink and a splash or two of color shine. It gives it that watercolor look. Two random tags adhered together. Next, I stamped the photo reel frame from Say Cheese stamp set. I added a flower and a bow next. The sentiment from Thank you stamp set is stamped on white cardstock and cut out. I used 3D foam squares to adhere it to the card.

Last minute addition was the Stripped Flag pennant. I remembered that I had a die for it after I cut it out. My brain doesn’t function well when I am sick. Anyway, we do have a Pennant die in the store. In addition, we have a Pennant stamp set if you want all the pennants. Love them! Click on the photo link below so you can see a close up.

To finish the card I added color shine splatters, twine, photo corners and a flag.

Thank you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me for today. Have a great Thursday!

This month’s theme is Holiday gifts. I made this ornament to give to a friend.

Snowflake by Daniela Dobson

Samantha Walker Supplies:
Snowflake

I did, I used one little snowflake file to create this ornament. I resized the snowflake to 3.5 inches tall. I offset the snowflake so that I have a nice outline. I cut three copies of each.

Samantha Walker snowflakes by Daniela Dobson

I sprayed the base with Heidi Swapp color shine in Tropicana Teal and the snowflake in Tinsel and a touch of White.

Snowflakes color shine by Daniela Dobson

I scored all of them down the middle so they can fold. I adhered the snowflake to the base using Sticky Dot Runner by Therm O Web. That is some strong adhesive. Then, I adhered them to each other so you have three sides to the snowflake.

Finished snowflake by Daniela Dobson

I think it would look great four of them together, too. I added a pin to the top and bottom, and tied some twine. I love how it turned out. Really easy and beautiful gift for anyone.
