{ Impression Obsession & CardMaker Blog Hop }

Hi and welcome to CardMaker Design Team and Impression Obsession Blog Hop.
Here is my project.

Birthday Wishes by Daniela Dobson

I started with a Painted Lines background layered with Whipped Spackle added through a stencil. I stamped and fussy cut Rose Set 1. I adhered the rose with 3D foam squares from Therm O Web. For the Wishes Die I used iCraft Adhesive Tape and only added it to the bottom of the word before I die cut it and added glitter.  It’s a fun little technique. I stamped “birthday” from the Wishes stamp set and added Nuvo Crystal Drops.

{ Pineapple and NBUS #7 }

I can’t believe I almost didn't see Darnell's NBUS #7 challenge. If you don’t know what it is you need to check it out. My never-before-used-schtuff – these stamps by Concord & 9th: Pop Art Pineapple I got at Paper Source months ago. Finally, a perfect opportunity to get them inked.

You're sweet by Daniela Dobson

I stamped the pineapple in two different colors. The last one is cut out and I used 3D foam squares to pop it up. I did tuck in a little bit of yellow thread for some added interest and because it was right next to me. At the end I splattered some Ranger Distress Stain in Shabby Shutters. I used CAS(E) This Sketch and Color Throwdown #407.

{ August Stamp Highlight Project for Elle’s Studio }

I have a blog post over on Elle’s Studio blog highlighting Notes From Today stamp set along with Work Hard stamp set and our exclusive August kit and extras

This little layout is a part of my travelers notebook called “Hello Summer”. I have been documenting my summer for several weeks now, with different prompts each week.  This page is titled “day in the life”. I have shared some of mypages in Instagram.

Day in the life by Daniela Dobson

I layered my photo on a piece of patterned paper from Sunny Days 6x6 Paper Stack on the left side. Underneath I used Notes From Today stamp set and a clock from Work Hard stamp. The little squares with the check mark were perfect and I used those to describe each photo above.

Day in the life close by Daniela Dobson

On the right bottom of the page I created a little pocket using my sewing machine to tuck in little tags I created. I stamped on the outside with a large stamp from Work Hard stamp set. I took several tags from Work Hard Journaling Tags and added my journaling for that day. For the tabs I used die cuts from the August 2016 Kit that I stapled to the top.

Day in the life close 2 by Daniela Dobson

Here is the front of my Travelers Notebook that I handmade myself. I used a little label from Sunny Days Small Blank Labels and a stamp from Shine Bright stamp set. The front is printed on my printer and then I applied Deco Foil with the laminator (flamingo and circles at bottom). The polka dots and “hello” are painted with watercolor.

Hello Summer TN by Daniela Dobson

Products used: Notes From Today stamp, Work Hard stamp, Shine Bright stamp, Sunny Days 6×6 Paper Stack, August 2016 Kit, Let’s Eat Bits and Pieces, Work Hard Journaling Tags, Letter & Number Stickers Pink, and Sunny Days Small Blank Labels

Hi and welcome to CardMaker Design Team and Momenta Blog Hop.

I used a butterfly mask and ink to create the butterfly. I cut it out and adhered it to the card with foam adhesive. I layered several tags and a little brass key charm. The little border on the bottom and the sentiment were stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

{ August 2016 Memory Keepers Studio by Technique Tuesday }

Our August release of Memory Keepers Studio – Perfectly Wonderful and Fresh Cut Studio – Birch Borders is available now. Plus, check out all that is new and available for August.

Here is what I created with the set.

Live life by Daniela Dobson

I lightly drew a circle with a pencil and then stamped around the circle. I colored the leaves with Prismacolor pencils. I added enamel dots that I created with Nuvo Crystal Drops. If you follow me on Instagram you are aware of my obsession with these little embellishments. I have photos and a short video on how I make them.

{ July kit from Scraptastic Club and a freebie }

Hi and welcome to my blog. My friend Victoria is doing The Cut File Challenge series on her YouTube channel and I offered to make some cut files for her. We thought doilies were pretty popular so I made a bunch. You can download the cut file below.
Since I test cut several and had them laying around I thought I would create a layout using my July Me Myself and I kit and add-on from Scraptastic Club. I created this layout based on a sketch by Ashley Horton. She is doing a video series with Missy Whidden Stretch Your Sketch.

Sidewalk masterpiece by Daniela Dobson

I used two of the similar doilies. It is so fun creating these, the combinations are endless. The messy circles I had laying around, as well, and they are an old freebie I had and you can find it HERE ---> Hand drawn circles. I really loved the stamp set from June that had the “sidewalk masterpiece” stamp and I had to use it with these photos. I added enamel dots from my stash and splattered some white paint on the layout. I added some 3D foam squares from Therm O Web to the photos for dimension.

{ Scraptastic Kit Club Thursday Challenge }

Hi everyone, I have my weekly Thursday challenge on Scraptastic blog today.  I sew on some of my layouts, but not often enough. I mostly machine stitch on my cards. I challenged myself, and now I challenge you to use your sewing machine and add some stitching to your project. If you don't have a sewing machine you can easily add stitching using a needle and some thread. I like to use DMC floss (embroidery thread) and a needle that is a little bigger, made just for the floss.  Make sure you poke holes in the paper first.
Here is a layout I created using our June 2016 Wipeout kit and add on. I sketched a circle with a pencil first and then used my sewing machine and followed the lines. I can't remember the last time a stitched a circle, so this was another challenge for me. Plus, I used blue thread.

Slurpee by Daniela Dobson

You can see that I left some of the pencil on the cardstock. I am ok with that. I added die cut stars, star stickers and enamel dots to the stitched circle. I stamped the title with June 2016 Sweet Jane stamp set.

Slurpee close by Daniela Dobson

I even added some zig zag stitching to connect two different papers together. I used a border punch to add the scallops to my patterned paper. I sprinkled some color shine from my stash.
