{ Reverse Confetti June Color Challenge }

Hi and welcome to our June Color Challenge – aqua, red and yellow.

Here is my card.

I started with a yellow card base. For the arrows from Crushin’ stamp set, I drew pencil lines at an angle about half an inch apart. I used red and aqua ink and stamped the arrows, rotating some, to create a pattern. I adhered the cardstock at the same angle on the card and trimmed the edges. Pretty simple. I will do this again with another design.
The sentiment is from Petals ‘n Posies stamp set and I stamped it on a tag from Elle’s Studio. There is another die cut tag under it that was left over from another project that is colored with Gelatos. It had the same colors so it was perfect.
I had a hard time tying the twine at that angle so I used Therm O Web Zips, clear adhesive lines. Not sure if you can see it in the close up photo, but I adhered it above the white cardstock and added twine.

How fun are these vibrant colors? For my layout I used all new stuff starting with Shine collection. That pie chart file was just calling my name. I made sure not to cut the outside circle line since I wanted it to be embedded in my white cardstock. I released the compound path and turned off the outer edge cut. Only the pie pieces were cut out.
I traced each one on different patterned paper, cut them out and adhered from behind. I love how that turned out.
I finally got to use my new Canon SELPHY CP910 White Portable Wireless Compact Photo Color Printer. I printed these photos straight from my phone. They were taken over the weekend at the pool. We are officially on summer vacation. Last day of school was last Thursday.
I stamped on the edges with Washi Tape Stamp. Love!

{ June Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Here is my layout.

I received lots of new products from Emma’s Paperie that I couldn’t wait to use. I started with a watercolor page where I scribbled Gelatos and added water. I die cut several labels using Label die. I ended up using only two. One at the top and one at the bottom. I mixed in some Elle’s Studio labels and stamped sentiments from the new Pure Magic stamp set. I added some brand new items from exclusive Elle’s Studio June kit that will be released in a few hours. The colors matched my layout perfectly and I couldn’t resist. Come back at 10 am for a new blog post with all the new items.

{ Reverse Confetti June blog hop }

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Masculine }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Masculine!

Our challenge starts today, June 5, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, June 11, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between June 5 - 11. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

I love how this turned out. I used several different stamp sets for the stamped rows (see the links below).
For this card I started at the bottom. After each stamped row I added Zips™ between the stamping. Zips are clear adhesive lines. They are ultra thin and about 1/8″ wide.  These thin lines of glue are perfect for paper strips, ribbon, paper borders and other long embellishments, or in this case Flower Soft. Cut the Zips to the desired length. Apply to cardstock and peal top layer.  Use your finger to press Flower Soft into the adhesive.
I layered Elle’s Studio tags, a die cut star and added a flair from {A Flair For Buttons} to the center.
