Here is what I created with the September kit, stamps and cut files.

I had lots of fun with this kit.

I cut the circle file with my Silhouette Cameo. This is the original size and it matches the cork one. I used yellow cardstock because I have lots of yellow for some reason. Anyway, I primed my white cardstock with gesso and after it was dry I taped down the template.

I used Whipped Spackle from Faber Castell Design Memory craft to add texture. The whipped spackle is just like modeling paste, except it’s very light. You can even see that I ripped the paper when I removed the tape. Not to worry.

I painted around all the spackle with watercolor paints. Simple as that. I stitched the paper down because it was warped from the water. I used plain, cheap cardstock from Michaels. I used My Favorite Stamp set to stamp the circles in back ink.

I added these fun Fancy Pants buttons and enamel dots I got from Emma’s Paperie. The cork hearts are one of the miscellaneous bits that are available for purchase. I cut the stack of books from one of the tags and adhered it to the layout with 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web. I couldn’t find a place for the full tag so this was perfect.

I tucked several hand drawn circles and leaves I created in Silhouette Studio. I stamped around the page with slanted lines stamp in orange and green ink. This is such a fun kit!!  I love it.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Beautiful Stamped Backgrounds }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Beautiful stamped backgrounds!

Our challenge starts today, September 4, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, September 10, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between September 4 - 10. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

While I was thinking about what to do for this challenge I remembered this awesome Cover-a-card background stamp called Cover-a-Card Ornate Floral.

I wasn’t sure how it was going to look stamped in black ink, but I was going to give it a try.

I colored the white parts with my watercolor paints.

For the sentiment, I used one of the brand new dies Greetings Top Edgers. I die cut it from black glitter paper. I layered it over a piece of white cardstock covered with washi tape. As a final touch I added enamel dots to the flowers.

I made another little card to join in on some of the challenges that are going on. I fell in love with the Rterosketches #130. I used Impression Obsession stamps and dies for this card.

Sketchy Chevron Border and a banner from Banners & Greetings stamp set.

My inspiration colors are from Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. I used Leaves Die Set from Impression Obsession. There is a smaller set, as well, called Sm. Leaf Set. I die cut the leaves from cardstock and I inked the edges. The leaves are painted with Glass Bead Glitter Gel from Faber Castell.  I added a little banner from Banners & Tails and a sentiment from More Basic Greetings.

I made a little card because I was playing with some new Faber Castell Design Memory Craft goodies that arrived.

I finally used one of Heidi Swapp stencils that I got from Emma’s Paperie. I mixed Whipped Spackle from Faber Castell and blue Gelato to get the color. The chevron from Chevrons Two Step is stamped with Hero Arts ink. The butterfly, from Butterfly Collage, is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor crayons.
Hello is from Fly Away stamp set.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Friendship }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Friendship!

Our challenge starts today, August 21, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, August 27, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between August 21-27. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

I mixed some old and new dies for this card - Instant Photo Frame and Kite. Love the kite, you can create different color combinations. My big shot can cut through several paper layers so I always layer two or three patterned papers and die cut.

The background is stamped with my all time favorite Cover-a-Card Wood Grain. I added a little “friend” stamp from Express Yourself on a die cut Flags Die Set.

The flair is from {A Flair For Buttons}.
