June is here, which means we are ready to show off our latest Studio AE stamp set.

Our Pure Magic - Studio AE - June 2014 is out and I wanted to share a card I made with the set.

Alex has four more days of school left. I can’t believe that Kindergarten is over and he will be in 1st grade. The school year just flew by! This is photo of him from Friday morning. He is wearing his Falcon of Character shirt, an award he won at school.

{ June Sketch For You To Try }

Hi and welcome to our June sketch challenge.

Here is my card.

For this card I used three different stamp sets. The stripes are from So Stripey stamp set. I stamped one diagonal strip and cut it out. I added a Silhouette Cameo cut under it. I used tiny hearts from Go Together and stamped them in green. The tag is colored with yellow Gelato and I tucked it under the flower and stamped “best wishes” from Paper Crane stamp set.

{ Card flair and Die cut freebies }

Looks like it’s been a while since I shared a free file. Freebies are popular on this blog and I see them pinned on Pinterest and I get updates when they are downloaded from my blog. Well, I am ready to share more. I was thinking about retiring some of my old freebies as I upload the new files. Let me know what you think.

I created this card using Sentiment Bubble Flair from {A Flair For Buttons}. I am sharing it on A flair for buttons blog.

I used Mojo Monday 347 for the card. Tall & Skinny. I used Heidi Swapp cardstock that I had for a long time and found it recently. I sprayed it with Citron color shine.
I created the flower in my Silhouette Studio that I cut out. You can make the flower whatever size you want. Just make sure you select all three shapes when you make them bigger or smaller.
I colored each flower layer with Gelatos. I used the flair for the center of the flower. The flair set comes with 6 different sentiments, perfect for cards.

{ Mixed Media Monday }

I created a card for Elle’s Studio Mixed Media Monday using their newest mini collection.

For this card I used: Patriotic Exclusive Stamp, Patriotic Journaling Tags, April Digital Cut File

I used a chevron stencil and modeling paste for the base of my card.

I added watercolor once the modeling paste was dry.

I cut the tags with my Silhouette and they are from the April digital kit. I stamped Celebrate with black ink.

{ A Kick Off To Summer Blog Hop }

 CardMaker Magazine and Technique Tuesday are teaming up today for a “a kick off to summer” blog hop.

Here is what I created.

I started by stamping two different chevron patterns on the left side of the card. I stamped the flower on The Story Die die cut and colored it with watercolor crayons. I used Faber Castell Gelatos to lightly color the background of the die cut. I used 3D White Foam Sticky Strips to add dimension to the story card die. The sentiment is stamped on patterned paper die cut with Label die. I layered two different patterns and stapled them together.
