Welcome to our July Studio AE Blog Hop.
Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE – Summer Rocks by Ali Edwards – July 2012 (starts shipping July 10th).
Here is my layout.
I had this sketched out in my Silhouette Studio for quite some time and I just now got a chance to use it. All the green parts are cut out. I backed all the openings with patterned paper, cardstock and stamping.
I created a little sunburst template (in Silhouette Studio) for misting, to create my sunshine at the top of the page.
The two squares are stamped with different words from the stamp set to create a cool background. I stitched between the squares to add more interest and dimension to that area.
I added a little sentiment from Studio AE - Simple Joy by Ali Edwards - May 2012. It just needed something blue in that area. The patterned paper is from Echo Park. After I cut out the chevrons, I stitched them back on the layout with my sewing machine.
Make sure you check out all the blogs because we are giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to Technique Tuesday. That means you can get anything you want. The winner will be announced on the Technique Tuesday Blog on July 13th.
