{ World Card Making Day }

{ CPS/Card Maker Magazine contest }

I waited until the last minute to play. CPS has this contest going on with Card Maker Magazine. I received these wonderful papers yesterday in my goodie box from Cards and Scrapbook Trends for my Cards September and ST Home For The Holidays book. All the paper here is Ally's Wonderland collection from SEI. I made my butterfly from a chipboard flower that I cut apart and covered with paper. I added some puff paint dots to the wings. 100% Summer stamp is from Impression Obsession.
You might have seen these little butterflies that I made from chipboard corners before. I can't show you the card or the layout since they are both being published, but I can show you an example. Anyway, same concept here, except I used the flower and snipped away the extra petals.

I wish it would start to feel like fall around here. It's still sunny 92 degrees :) I love the colors of fall and this stamp set by Stampin' Up. I used my Frances Meyer watercolor set to watercolor my image. DCWV patterned paper, SU cardstock and button, Marvy Uchida scalloped punch. I stamped leaves on a separate piece of paper and then cut them out and adhered them to the bottom of the card with dimensionals.

{ Beate's weekend sketch challenge # 21 }

I made this for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. Well, it's not a sketch, but a tutorial for a library card. You can find it here: File Folder Card tutorial. I have to say that this took me several days to make. It wasn't the folder, that was the easy part, but the design. I wanted to use my little giraffe stamp that I got earlier this year and haven't used. It's by Stamps by Judith. Patterned paper is by Die Cuts With A View from the new Nana's Kids collection, SEI sticker tab, Offray ribbon. I am really looking for a tab punch that makes that shape, if anyone knows where I can get one.

Deb sent me this beautiufl card. I just love the colors and that adorable onesie hanging from the little clothespins. This is my first baby card that I received.
