{ Fabulous }

Hello and happy Monday!!! I am enjoying some fresh bread that just came out of my bread machine. I had that thing for years and I forgot about it. Well, we ran out of bread and I found this recipe. It is so good! I make my own bread in the winter, but this is so much easier.

I recently cleaned out my Feedly (it replaces Google reader). Well, I was missing a ton of blogs and upon organizing and cleaning I found more blogs, and all these new challenge blogs. So here I am, with a card, because I wanted to participate in the challenges and share some new files I created.

For this card I used one of my stencils that I made in Silhouette Studio.  Do you remember Crate Paper SLEIGH RIDE Vellum Paper With Gold Foil? If you don’t you can find it HERE. I have that piece of paper and I am saving it. I did use a little bit of it on a project once. Anyway, I made a stencil similar to the paper. See below for a link to download. The stencil is 5x7. I was just playing around to see what it would look like. After I cut it out I made this card so I kept it. I can make a larger one if anyone wants a 12x12.

I have seen these hand drawn circles popping up all over the place and figured I should have some too. I did draw them by hand and then cleaned them up a bunch in Studio. I am sharing three different ones. See below.
The green watercolored tag was left over from another project, but it fits the colors for the color challenge. It’s a Technique Tuesday Label - DIY Steel Die.

“Fabulous” is another Technique Tuesday die Say It - Fabulous by Ali Edwards - DIY Steel Dies. I know the photo is not the best, but I love how layered this looks. I die cut it from cardstock three times to get it that thick. I figured out this awesome way to layer the die cuts using iCraft Adhesive from Therm O Web. I will have to show you.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Nautical/Beach }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Nautical/Beach!

Our challenge starts today, July 17, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, July 23 at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between July 17-23. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

I don’t have many beach/nautical stamps. I need to fix that problem. We have lots of stamps in the store to choose from. Not sure why I only have a few.

For this card I started with a Wave Border. I heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I sprayed the background with color shine. I found Ocean Martini in my jumbo folder and I thought it would be perfect. I used watercolor crayons to color the image. How cute are those fish? The sentiment is Best Fishes and I stamped it on one of the flags from Flags Die Set.

I added some modeling paste with a stencil for more bubbles.

I am entering this card in Curtain Call Challenge – Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Spots and Dots challenge.

{ Technique Tuesday July Greenhouse Society and Summer sneaks }

I had the opportunity to play with the July Greenhouse Society stamp set and this is what I created.

I used Story Card DIY Steel Dies to stamp the rose with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed it with yellow embossing powder that was sprayed with color shine. It looks gold. I love how it pops against the bright patterned papers.

The new stamp set consists of four clear stamps on a 3" x 4" storage sheet. The stamp set starts shipping around July 25th to Greenhouse Society members.

Here is what I created with the July kit, July cut files and Life is Good stamp set.

I love the cut files this month. The photo frame is the same size as some other cut outs that come in the kits and tags. I finally used my brand new Canon SELPHY CP910 White Portable Wireless Compact Photo Color Printer. I was able to print straight from my iPhone. I used FrameMagic app to get the photos this square size and they fit perfectly in the frames.
I added gold and navy stars from Heidi Swapp and stamped #favorite with Navy ink on white cardstock that I cut out. I sprinkled some Color Shine and added some enamel dots to finish the page.

Say hello to Grace MC448. She is adorable. This is the first time I used this stamp set. When I think of summer I envision these colors, blue, pink and yellow. Plus, Grace is at the beach.
I stamped here on white cardstock and colored the image with watercolor pencils and crayons. The circle frame is a Circle Shaker Frame die. It’s cut from Heidi Swapp resist paper. I sprayed it with Color Shine.

The sentiment is from a different stamp set called Hydrangea Clear Set. I stamped it on a die cut from Mini Rectangle Tags 1 Die Set.
