{ CPS #182, car caddy and trip photos }

I finally made a card! I used CPS  #182. I think a month went by without making anything crafty! I sat down and used whatever was left over on my messy desk, as always. October Afternoon paper, Tattered Angels tag that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, Prima flower and Impression Obsession stamp Thanks Sentiments (CL41). It felt great.

I made this car caddy for Alex the day before we left for our trip. It was something I saved long time ago. Jill at Homemade by Jill has the tutorial I used. We took it on the plane for him to play with and it was a hit!

I cut up an old pair of jeans and made everything here, even the strap with the velcro closure.

I used fusible web for the car appliqué and the felt wheels. How about that decorative stitch? Used it for the first time.

{ Paris Mini Album }

We are back from our vacation to Croatia. I am trying to sort through 3400 photos, dirty clothes, jet lag and my messy scrapbook room.  I can't wait to clean up my desk and create something. Maybe today. I hope to share some of our wonderful trip photos soon.

 

Here is my Paris mini that I made for Prima with new Donna Downey Canvas tags. I cut the large tag in half to make the front and back of the album. The package comes with three canvas and three paper tags. I added Prima packaging and a canvas journaling tag for my other pages. I used the new Prima Masks for the canvas tags and some of the pages.

My background is stamped with Cover-a-card Scratches (CC044). The sentiment is You're Sweet (A5415). I stamped the main image, Candy Jars (G2332), on a background that was stamped with Cover-a-card Splatter (CC059). The candy is covered with Sunshine Yellow, Sage, Raspberry Fizz and Sweet Pea Flower Soft. I painted the jars with PearlEx watercolor paints.The background paper is October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket. I added a strip of denim fabric that was left over from a fun project I did for Alex.

{ Inspired Blueprints Guest Designer }

I was asked to be a guest designer at Inspired Blueprints. I am excited and honored. I love sketches!!!!

Here is my little Alex on his splash mat in the back yard. I wanted bright colors to go with the photos. I used My Mind's Eye and Jillibean Soup for the background. I added DeLovely to the mix. I received this bright and fun collection in my Cards box last week.

I used Shimmerz Spritz on the Bazzill strip, doily, letter stickers and the Splatter stamp from Impression Obsession.

 

 I was having so much fun that I made a card, too. I used October Afternoon patterned paper and Making Memories journaling note. The note is stamped with Splatter stamp, again, and I sprayed the lace and flower from Prima with Shimmerz.

 

I stamped Silhouette 11 (G5561) from Impression Obsession and a sentiment from Thanks stamp set (CL41).

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Home Sweet Home }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Our challenge this week is Home Sweet Home and here is my card. I love these bright colors from Cosmo Cricket.

Do you see the Splatter??? Yes, that is the new Cover-A-Card Splatter (CC059). I stamped the cardstock with the stamp and then I stamped my Journaling I  (WP165) over that. I used a marker to go over the outside edge only because I didn't want the lines.

 

 I stamped the little houses from New Home stamp set (CL187) on patterned paper and cut them out. The sentiment is from I wish for you stamp set (CL227).

I used my EK Success punch for the scallop strips and I used Cover-a-Card Newsprint (CC068) on one of those strips. It was left over from one of my CHA cards and it fit perfectly.
