{ Hello – color and sketch challenge }

I have a quick card today that I created after I saw the Color Throwdown #398. In addition, I used a sketch from Case this sketch #178.
I wanted to use some of my brand new Technique Tuesday stamps that were released this month. For this card I used Bravo stamp set and Marquee Arrows DIY Steel die.

I used my Ranger Distress Stains, they are like paint daubers. I added two strips of washi under that. “Hello” is stamped and cut out. I added Therm O Web 3D foam adhesive to pop it up a little bit for dimension. I added some Whipped Spackle through a stencil from StecnilGirl Products. The pink wasn’t bright enough so I die cut an arrow from bright pink paper and added some sequins.

{ Sketchy Thursday with May Cake by the Ocean kit from Scraptastic Club }

I am sharing a layout I created with our June sketch using May 2016 Cake by the Ocean kit, add-on on Scraptastic blog today.

I pretty much followed the sketch with strips of paper behind my small photo. I duplicated the flower clusters with round embellishments. I added color shine sprinkles and washi from my stash, and enamel dots from a previous kit.

For this one I used modeling paste and the stencil that came in the kit. I used just a little of patterned paper behind the photos since I wanted those vellum shapes to stand out.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Summer Fun }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Summer Fun.

Here is my card.

I started by stamping the background with Circle Fusion1. I die cut the border and added ribbon to the card. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and stamped and fussy cut the butterflies. Little tag, sequins and washi tape are from my stash.

{ Sunny Days collection from Elle’s Studio }

This week we are highlighting Sunny Days collection on Elle’s Studio blog. It’s a brand new collection from Elle’s Studio. Here is my layout.

I started my layout with patterned paper and then I added the striped patterned paper to each side. I wanted to add a big sun to the layout and I hand cut a circle and some triangles from patterned paper. I added a die cut to the center using foam adhesive. To the background I added modeling paste with a stencil, sprinkles of color shine, and sequins from my stash.

I had lots of fun with various die cuts, stickers and stamps from this collection. I noticed that there were lots of fun words in one of the cut apart patterned papers so I added those, as well.

{ May Cake by the Ocean kit from Scraptastic Club }

I am sharing my first layout with May 2016 Cake by the Ocean kit, add-on and Cake by the Ocean stamp set on Scraptastic blog today. Just a little mixed media with all the wonderful colors and elements from the kit.

I love all the colors in the kit. To tone down the background just a bit, I added some white gesso and then some pink and blue color shine from my stash. I stamped and cut out the flowers and the leaves from the stamp set. I added some stitching to the layout and some yellow sewing thread from my stash under the flair. I thought this photo went perfectly with the kit with all the wonderful and bright colors.

{ June 2016 Memory Keepers Studio by Technique Tuesday }

Our June release of Memory Keepers Studio – Make Music and Fresh Cut Studio – Music Makers  (shipping 6/15). Plus, check out all that is new and available for June.

Here is what I created with the set.

When I saw this stamp set I knew exactly what photos I had to find. Alex got a set of drums one year for Christmas and they were a hit! He was two years old in these photos. He got a guitar at the same time and we have photos of him playing the guitar, as well. He would play the drums and sing. While I was looking for these photos I got to see all the fun videos of him playing the drums.

I used papers from my stash and mostly from my Scraptastic Club kits. I hand drew and cut the heart for the background that I outlined with my pen. The fun music notes are from Encore DIY Steel dies.

{ Sketch Class Highlight from Elle’s Studio }

I have a brand new layout on Elle’s Studio blog that I created using one of the sketches from our new class “From Sketch to Finish”. There are so many wonderful sketches and I had a hard time deciding on one.

For the layout I used our Documented mini collection with double-sided journaling tags, basic journaling tags with gray polka dots,  4 x 6 stamp that also coordinates with our tab die, and white acrylic word. Plus, I used some of the items from our May Kit and Good Stuff Puffy Stickers.

I used our Little Moments Collection for this layout. I can’t wait to share our Sunny Days collection with you. I have a layout coming and two projects with the Sunny Days collection and the June 2016 kit. You will love it all!!!

{ May 2016 Card Kit from Scraptastic Club }

I am sharing my cards from May 2016 card kit. 

For this first card I used a mask that came in the kit and distress ink with a sponge dauber. I positioned the mask on white cardstock and applied ink, little darker on the edges and lighter in the center. I added the leaves the same way positioning the mask so the leaves and the flowers covered the front. I stamped "Hello Friends" on the bottom with black ink. 

I stamped the dog from the stamp set on watercolor paper and colored him with watercolor paints. I layered patterned paper, borders from sticker sheets and die cuts. I fussy cut the dog and added him with 3D foam adhesive from Therm O Web.  I stamped flower and leaves on white cardstock and cut them out. I added some 3D foam adhesive to the flower, as well. I splattered white paint to the background. 

For my last card, I used the glitter card base and added patterned paper. I layered the circle die cut and the dimensional sticker from Fancy Free Layered stickers. This one is really simple and easy to put together, especially with the sentiment already on the layered sticker.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Furry Friends }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Furry Friends.

Here is my card.

I don’t have many furry friends and I had to really search for this one. I haven’t used this stamp set yet, so it was perfect. I started with two strips of washi tape and then one of the mini patterns was stamped to the right. The large chalk tag is stamped and cut out and then I stamped the words from the Fox stamp set over the top.  I stamped the fox on white cardstock and used my watercolor crayons to color him. He is adhered to the tag using Therm O Web 3D foam adhesive. A little button with a bow and sequins to finish this card. I used Mojo Monday 450 for the card sketch.
