{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Fall Colors }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Fall Colors.

Hello and happy Thursday. It’s that time again, Impression Obsession DT challenge. Today I am sharing a card that I created with brand NEW stamps from Impression Obsession. This is from our Fall/Winter 2015 release. It’s will be 106 today here in Texas and it doesn’t feel like fall, but it was fun creating with these fall colors.

Here is my card.

Thank you by Daniela Dobson

I have these watercolors in tubes that I got at Michaels. I added two colors, orange and yellow and used my pallete knife to spread the color down the front of the card. Then I added brown and did the same thing. The color in the tubes is pretty dry and I didn’t add water so it was great consistency for spreading the color. I muted the colors just a bit by adding white Gesso over the top.

I stamped the diamond border on the bottom with ink. The Instant Photo Frame is die cut from patterned paper. I stamped and fussy cut all the other elements. I splattered yellow and orange color shine at the end after I added the sequins and the twine bow.

Thank you close by Daniela Dobson

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Things With Wings }

Hello and welcome to our Impression Obsession challenge – Things With Wings!

Here is my card.

Happy birthday Impression Obsession Baby Bird Set by Daniela Dobson

I used Baby Bird Set and Sweet Baby Bird to stamp the bird on Strathmore Watercolor Paper using my Misti. I used my watercolor to paint the bird. For the bottom piece of cardstock I stamped Circle Fusion 2 stamp. I stamped a sentiment with black ink and added watercolor splatters.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Quick Christmas Cards }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Quick Christmas cards.

Snow Thankful  by Daniela Dobson

I need several Christmas thank you cards for some of my friends. I thought I would use my Misti to mass produce several using the same design. This was super easy. I used one ink for the images and then black for the sentiment and a stripe at the top. I added gold washi to all the cards and then added a colored cardstock base.

This would be a great gift for a dear friend or a family member.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Celebrate You }

Hello and happy Thursday. It’s that time again, Impression Obsession DT challenge. This was a really fun to make and I really like to watercolor and need to do it more often. There are several butterflies I have in my collection and I couldn’t decide which one to use. I usually stamp everything in black ink and today I decided to use white embossing powder, on watercolor paper.

Celebrate by Daniela Dobson

I started by stamping and heat embossing Circle Fusion 1 on watercolor cardstock. I always keep an eye out when Michaels has them on sale, and on sale I mean 3 for the price of 1. That is an awesome deal. I used my Caran d'Ache Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels and colored the background. I use my heat gun to dry each color before adding a different one.

Background Circle Fusion 1 by Impression Obsession

I love layering different elements together and instead of cutting up different pieces of Patterned paper I stamped various banners and washi. I recently cleaned and organized my room and all my stamps. I am still working on cataloging everything. That might take a while. The point is, I can find everything I am looking for. While organizing I found some loved and forgotten stamps.
On top of the washi and banner I heat embossed a little polaroid frame. I cut the butterfly out and added it to the card using 3D foam squares. The gold striped vellum is from a little vellum pack that I got long time ago that I love!!! I have been adding it everything.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – You take the cake }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – You take the cake.

Here is a card I created.

Happy birthday by Daniela Dobson

As much as I love fussy cutting, it is really nice to have dies to match all the stamps, including the little, tiny roses that I added around the die cut circle. I am talking about a brand new artist at Impression Obsession: Peggy Jo Ackley and Pink Ink Clear stamps and matching dies. This beautiful set is called Party Cakes and Party Cakes Dies.

Happy birthday close by Daniela Dobson

I stamped the images on watercolor paper and used my watercolors to color the image, including the tiny roses. The background is stamped with a stamp called Graph Paper, and that is exactly what it looks like. I finally got to use my brand new dies called Scribble Circles. Aren’t they fun? I die cut them from the same watercolor paper where I colored the images so some of the watercolor was left on the background. I love that. “Happy birthday” sentiment is from More Basic Greetings stamp set.

There is a huge 50% off sale going on at Impression Obsession. Make sure you check out the stamps.

Here is one more close up of the image. I added twine to the background card base and some enamel dots I created from Nuvo Crustal Drops. The colors are amazing. For my dimensional adhesive I used my trusty 3D foam squares from Therm O Web.

Happy birthday close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I used Mojo Monday 493  for this card.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Last Minute Gifts }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Last Minute Gifts.

I created these little gift bags that I shared on CardMaker blog yesterday. Totally last minute idea for sure, and who doesn’t have parchment paper in their pantry.

Treat bags by Daniela Dobson

Ph 3 by Daniela Dobson

These are so easy to put together and fill with your favorite treats. I used parchemt paper to make the bags. I stitched up the sides with my sewing machine. You have seen me make bags like this before. The cute litte die cut is Patchwork Stocking and I stamped it with Mini Pattern 1 and Mini Patterns 2. I filled the bags with treats I bought at World Market, from Germany.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Give Thanks }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Give Thanks. We had lots of participation in our last challenge, “Feeling Blue”, and I hope this one is just as fun.

My card today has a very interesting color combo. Not my typical colors, but I really liked the challenge at Color Throwdown #367: gold, coral and green!

Thankful by Daniela Dobson

If you know me and have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I like to mix different stamps and patterns together. One of these days I might make a clean and simple card, but not yet.

I started with the Tapestry Tag that I layered over All-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2 I die cut from gold paper. The Peony, from Peony Set 2 and Peony Set 1, is stamped with Cameo Coral, old Stampin’ Up ink that I had for ages. I was able to achieve different shades by stamping off for the first, light layer, and then stamping with regular color, and third layer I double stamped. It worked with one ink pad. That is the only coral color I have. Same with the leaves. I used Old Olive.

I fussy cut the flower and leaves and added foam adhesive to the flower for dimension. The card base is stamped with Cover-a-card Screen. The sentiment is from Be Grateful stamp set. I added twine and sequins to finish the card.
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #293 for this card.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Christmas in July }

Hello and happy Thursday. It’s that time again, Impression Obsession DT challenge. Today I am sharing a card that I created with brand NEW stamps from Impression Obsession. This is from our Fall/Winter 2015 release and will be available soon.

Merry Christmas by Daniela Dobson

How fun is this tree? It is called Graphic Tree. I used watercolor pencils to color it and I added Deco Foil for extra sparkle and shine. The background is stamped with Cover-a-Card Quatrefoil. On top of that I layered our new die from the last release called All-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2. As you can see it is stitched! Love that. The oval is from last release, as well, called All-in-One Frames – Ovals. Striped Banner is an older stamp and I love how versatile it is.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Somebunny Loves you }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Somebunny Loves you (Easter or bunnies).

Here is a card I created with our brand new stamps.

Happy day by Daniela Dobson

I started this card by stamping Vintage Briar Rose Background on white cardstock in yellow ink. The Ornate Rectangle Frame is die cut from white cardstock and I lightly inked the edges with the same pink as the bunny.

Happy day close by Daniela Dobson

I stamped and fussy cut the bunny, along with his tail. He is adhered with 3D foam squares. I tied thin ribbon at the bottom, by his feet, and added a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set: Bunny Love.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Unlayered }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Unlayered.

Here is a set of cards I created using Impression Obsession stamps, dies and Therm O Web Deco Foil. The challenge was less than 3 layers. This one is debatable. It’s a pretty simple card.

Thank you card set by Daniela Dobson
For many of us this is National Teacher Appreciation week along with this Saturday being National Nurse’s Day.  Since both professions involve being caregivers of our children and loved ones it seems fitting we recognize them both! Thank you cards are perfect for anyone at any time.

Thank you card set close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I used a simple design on each card alternating colors and sentiments.

Thank you card set close 3 by Daniela Dobson

The big sentiments are die cut using Thanks die and Special die and then foiled via the laminator.

Thank you card set close by Daniela Dobson

I used Thanks and Special stamp sets for the sentiments. The triangles are from Really Useful Stamps set that were heat embossed using white embossing powder.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Clean and Simple }

Hello and welcome to the our Impression Obsession challenge – Clean and Simple.

Here is my card.

Kindness by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used Watercolor Butterflies and that is it!! I think this is the fastest card ever. Now, I did layer some patterned paper and green cardstock. I stumbled upon a color challenge (Shades of Green SSC173) and it was all green and I loved it. So green it is. We have lots of shades of green ink at our Impression Obsession store. I did splatter green watercolor to finish the card. Awesome, right?

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Happy Haunting (Halloween) }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Happy Haunting (Halloween).

Here is my card.

Candy corn by Daniela Dobson

I am using brand new, never before used stamps and dies on this card: Eat Candy Corn stamp set and Candy Corn die. How adorable is this die?  I love candy corn, like love it so much. I had to make a card with it.
For the orange background I smeared orange Faber-Castell Gelato and water. I stamped the Candy Cane Stripes on cardstock and cut it into a banner. I only partially inked the stamp and wanted the banner to look like that, distressed. The banner is popped up with 3D Foam Adhesive from Therm O Web.

I am entering the card to Darnell's NBUS #5 challenge (NBUS badge left sidebar). I have been trying to all week and finally, here it is. Never before used schtuff: Eat Candy Corn stamp set and Candy Corn die.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Rainbow Colors }

Hello and welcome to the our Impression Obsession challenge – Rainbow Card!
Here is my card.

Hello friend 1 by Daniela Dobson

I used Watercolor Lines for my base and stamped each line individually by inking them separately with each color. I made sure I wiped  the stamp clean after each time. Misti Stamping Tool made this really easy. I used all Impression Obsession inks.

Hello close by Daniela Dobson

I used direct ink to paper method with all the inks and die cut the Butterfly 3 from it. The stamp set is called Floral Heart Set and I stamped a heart that I popped up using 3D Foam squares. I stamped “hello friend” from Hello stamp set using black ink. In addition, I used Scribble Circles die under the heart.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge with a Video – Say It Big }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Say It Big (phrases).

I have a video at the end of this post to show you how I created the card. I do have a YouTube channel where I share process videos. I haven’t posted a video in a long time and I finally did this week and again today. I added several older card videos I had, but never shared. Anyway, if you want to see how I make things, go and check it out.

Here is my card.

You are awesome by Daniela Dobson

My inspiration was Tuesday’s Take 2 from Cath’s blog. Beautiful pink flowers with a touch of yellow and orange. I gathered my supplies first, so I had an idea where I was going with a card. Over the weekend I made a sketch of this card, with lots of notes about what I wanted to do. Sometimes it happens just like that.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Fun With Flowers }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Fun With Flowers.

Here is a card I created.

Thanks by Daniela Dobson

I recently organized my stamps, well, I am in a process of organizing my stamps. That means cataloging everything, which I should have done as new stamps came in. I found this lovely stamp set called Petite Floral Bunch. I used Tombow markers and a light water mist to stamp the background.

Thanks close 2 by Daniela Dobson

For the main flower I used Watercolor Florals. I stamped and fussy cut the image. I then added watercolor pencils to add definition to the flower and 3D foam squares for dimension. The sentiment is from Mini Inspirations 2 stamp set.
The background is Circle Fusion 2. The bottom fringe I stamped with Rev. Polka Dots and used Martha Stewart fringe scissors.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Harvest Hellos }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Harvest Hellos (Halloween or Halloweenish colors).

My card contains Halloweenish colors, plus I needed a card for a friend who needs extra love this week and coffee always helps…and a friend.

Life happens by Daniela Dobson

I used our brand new Coffee to Go stamp set and matching dies. For my background I used Paint Splatter stamp on the background with Impression Obsession ink – Chocolate. For the bottom I found a sentiment on the internet that I liked and I didn’t have anything similar. I used Outline Alphabet (life) and Broadway Baby (coffee) fonts. That Outline Alphabet is super cute. You can stamp in any color to match your project.
