{ Tinkering Ink Thistle Hill collection sneak peek }

This is Thistle Hill collection from Tinkering Ink. Check out Tinkering Ink blog for more peeks.

{ Update....}

Wow, how time flies. I have time to browse the internet (with one hand) while I am feeding Alex, but that is all. I need both hands to type anything. I miss all my blog friends. Thank you for stopping by and for all the well wishes.
I have so many photos to share. His daddy loves to take photos of him and we are enjoying every moment.
Things are going great! Still adjusting to everything. We are putting together his swing today. That baby shower came just in time. I want to share those photos, as well.
My mom arrived on Wednesday, one day after he was born. Did I mention that I wasn't ready! I didn't even have my bag packed, the house was a mess...
We went out for dinner Monday night with friends and stayed up late watching a movie. At 2:30 am I went to the bathroom and there was water everywhere. At first I thought my bladder gave out on me...LOL After waiting for a while and the water leakage did not stop we called the doctor and he told us to come to the hospital so they can check.
I grabbed a bag and threw some essentials together. Luckily my husband had all his camera equipment ready to go. No major contractions just minor abdominal cramping. I even drove to the hospital and had two minor, slightly painful, contractions on the way.
At 4 am we were at the hospital. When they checked me I was 3 cm dilated, but negative for amniotic fluid. They called my doctor and he said to stay and that I was going to have a baby TODAY !!! On the way to the hospital we kept saying how it was a false alarm and that they were going to send me home, not the case.
As soon as I got there I told them I wanted an epidural, but we had to do a blood test and wait for the results since they did not have my chart there from the doctor's office. Good thing I registered on Friday.
I am glad I got to experience several, very painful, contractions, but even happier when the epidural kicked in.
At 6 am, when the epidural was in I was 6 cm dilated. At 9 am I was 9 cm and 90% effaced at 9:50 am I started pushing...at 10:51 am baby Alex was born.
He did have jaundice after we left the hospital and we had to go in and have his bilirubin checked couple of times. At his last doctor visit he was gaining weight and less yellow. We don't have to go back for another two months, but I will go in next week to have him weighed since I am breastfeeding.
Alex is 16 days old today and he is growing. We went for our first stroller ride the other day. He slept the entire time.
Here are some photos of my little man. I do have cards to share that I made the week before he was born.
Tinkering Ink sneak peeks start tomorrow, new paper collections which will debut at CHA.

{ Sketch this: cards #37 }

I wanted to post something for the weekend just in case I don't have time later.

I made this card yesterday for Sketch this: cards #37. The patterned paper is from Scenic Route Loveland collection. I just love the colors. The little heart card and glitter rick rack I got at Target dollar spot. Rub-ons are MME, Prima flower and Darice heart jewel.

Update on the baby: he is approximately 6 pounds and 9 ounces. He moves all the time, but is not descending into my pelvic cavity.

I have to go and get ready for my baby shower. Have a nice weekend.

{ Getting ready }

There is lots of cleaning going on at my house, and those last minute things that need to be done before baby gets here. I had nine months to get ready and I wait until the last minute. My mom will be here next Wednesday. I am super excited. She is arriving from Croatia and staying with me for two months.
I don't want to neglect my blog so I have to come and say hi. If you don't see me as often, know that I am here and will check in whenever I can.
Baby's room is all done. I want to take photos tomorrow and I will share those. I washed all the baby clothes tonight, they are so tiny and cute.
My baby shower is this Saturday and my friend from California is flying in tomorrow. I will share those photos with you, as well.

Here is a card I made with Impression-Obsession stamps: Love Is All Around. I stamped the hearts and then cut them out. If you like hearts, like me, this is the set to get. I love the little word border at the bottom.
Have a nice evening. I am going back to work.

{ Beate's weekend sketch challenge # 29 }

Beate is back with her weekend sketch challenges. Here is my take on it. Brand new stamp from Impression Obsession called Valentini - how fun!!!! The sentiment came from Sweet Hearts set.
For this card the heart and sentiment came from Heartlines set. You can check out all the new additions here. I stamped the heart, cut it out and used dimensional tape to adhere it to the Block Frame.

{ CPS sketch # 45 }

Well, I was trying to clean my room...and I had to make a card. I really like this sketch from CPS. Patterned paper is from Die Cuts With A View All Dressed up collection. Prima flowers, Making Memories brad, ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, the heart doily I got at Target the other day in their dollar section. They have all their Valentine's stuff out.

Here is one more card I did with All Dressed Up collection. I love all their embellishments and rub-ons, they are sparkly.

{ Winter Greetings }

Here is my first post for the year! I was thinking about changing my blog. I might look into that when I have more time.
Melissa has a challenge on her blog: "Chilly little card challenge". Create a WINTER card in either blues or pinks. Card must have glitter or bling---you know some sparkle! Must include either fabric or felt, and, must have a snowman on it---die cut, paper pieced, from patterned paper, sticker, etc.
Here is my card. I made the snowman out of felt and added beads for his eyes and nose. Buttons are KI Memories glitter brads. For his arms I used Heidi Grace heart pins. I added a flower, which I colored with ink, instead of a hat. All the paper is Die Cuts With A View. The little stamp is from Ink It! He (she) turned out really cute. Thanks for the challenge Melissa.
