{ 1 Million Pillowcases Challenge }

American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to help them reach their goal of donating one million pillowcases to local charities.  Many charities can benefit from the donation of a pillowcase and the challenge gives you the opportunity to donate and make a difference in your community.

Therm O Web is a proud sponsor of One Million Pillowcases Challenge through Better Homes & Gardens. Please visit our Therm O Web blog for more details.

Some of our DT members participated in the challenge, including me. We used PATTERN 25 Bubbles Appliqué Band for our pillowcases.

We are donating our pillowcase to Dover Children’s Home.

Please visit American Patchwork & Quilting One Million Pillowcases Challenge to see how you can help.

Here is mine.

I used HeatnBond Lite by Therm O Web to iron on the back of my fabric for the circles.

Step 1 Daniela Dobson

I used my Sizzix machine and dies to cut various sizes. I used my iron again to adhere them to the fabric.

Step 2 Daniela Dobson

I used my sewing machine to add a decorative stitch around each circle.

Here is a closer look.

My finished pillowcase.

If you like to sew I hope you can help with this challenge. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great Thursday!

Here is my card.

I started by die cutting the house from white cardstock. I stamped 3 rows of dots from Pattern Strips stamp set. I colored some of them with Art GRIP® Aquarelles: Blue and Red. I die cut a border from Border Duo 3 for the front of the house.
For the roof I stamped the scallops, from the Pattern Strips, and cut them out.

I die cut the Snowflakes from iCraft Adhesive sheet by Therm O Web. It’s is a strong, permanent adhesive with a easy-tear liner! I peeled the back, adhered it to the card, then peeled of the top and added glitter. I layered the liner over the top with a button. Love these sheets.
The top part of the house is stamped with Cover-a-card Knit.

Have a great Wednesday!

Before I forget, my stamp winner is Shona! Please email me you address so I can get those stamps to you!!!

Here is my card.

Happy birthday by Daniela Dobson

I created the triangles in my Silhouette Studio. I lined up three different sheets of patterned paper and cut them out all at once. To line the triangles on my card, I started with the bottom triangle and adhered it to the center of the card. From there I worked out to each side, trimming the ends.
I tucked a little Lily Bee Persnickity Journaling Card (September Scrapbook Circle kit) at the top and used Impression Obsession Pattern Strips stamps to stamp the triangles. The butterfly is from Silhouette 15. I added  3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web to the sentiment from Circle Greetings stamp set.
