{ Guest DT call and new stamps }

Here are the other cards I created for CHA with the new stamps. The new stamps are uploaded at the website and are ready for purchase...you can view them here. Link to all the catalogs is here.
I really hope you try out for the DT. Impression Obsession is a great company to work for and they have so many wonderful stamps...come and check out the website and DT details below.

Impression Obsession is looking for guest designers. How cool is that. Here are all the details:

IMPRESSION OBSESSION GUEST DESIGNER CALL

How would you like to be a guest designer for one of the nation's largest rubber stamp companies? Impression Obsession is looking someone to put a creative spin on the great rubber and clear stamps that you know and love. We have more than 2,000 images in production at any given time and these images can be found at hundreds of stamp stores not only in the U.S. and Canada but six other countries worldwide! The guest designer position would be a three month commitment to help us with samples not only for our supplements and trade show displays but for our web gallery as well. Our store owners rely on the design team's creativity to see just how many ways you can use I.O. stamps! If accepted, you will receive a handful of I.O. new releases to play with and create!

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Since our Senior Design Team uploads digital images to our gallery, we would hope you would be proficient in photo editing and be able to display your cards in an eye-pleasing way. Ninety-nine percent of the time, we use the artists images for our catalog and web gallery.

2. You would be required to make a minimum of 4 projects per month and display them on your gallery or blog giving credit to Impression Obsession.

3. Impression Obsession would have access to these designs for use on our web site, in our online gallery, for advertising, and in our electronic newsletter. We'll be sure to give you credit!

TO APPLY: Please send four examples of your best work to us at ioguestdesigner@gmail.com by August 30th. Don't forget to include a little bit about yourself, your name, address, phone number, email address, past design team work, when and where you've been published and blog or gallery address as well. Please note: Past work is not a requirement for a position with I.O. We are simply looking for talented designers. If you've never been on a team before or have never been published - that's Ok!

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's sketch 5 and butterflies }

Here is my card for the new sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You. I made it today, the one and only card I made this week. The week just slipped by. I bought this butterfly stamp set yesterday by Inkadinkado. This is the largest one in the set. I used my favorite papers and rub-on from Al Fresco collection by Tinkering Ink. I added Maya Road office sheer and Junkitz felt flower. Do you see the Iridescent Shredds I added to the butterfly?
This second card I created for a challenge on Hero Arts blog. Today I found out that my card received honorable mention and I will receive another Hero Arts stamp, new, not-yet-shown Christmas stamp. For this card I used Pink Paislee patterned paper, Jenni Bowlin die cut butterfly, Prima flowers for the butterfly antennae.Hero Arts: notecard, stamps, sparkle gems. I am getting really comfortable with the machine stitching, can you tell. I wanted to see how many other butterfly cards I had that I didn't share yet. There were plenty, but I will only post these two today, well four, if you count the other two. Both cards are made with Basic Grey Euphoria patterned paper and sticker. The second one I used October Afternoon stamps and American Crafts chipboard butterflies.

{ Melissa's sketch challenge and new Impression Obsession stamps }

Well, I didn't get to post this yesterday, like I told Melissa, but I was at a stamp show all day. I got some awesome goodies from DeNami Design. I will have to show you what I created with her beautiful stamps later this week.
This card is for Melissa's sketch challenge. I had to play with my little owl set from Wise Owl that Alli Miles designed. I used American Crafts rub-ons, Basic Grey patterned paper, and Creative Cafe trim.

Are you ready for Christmas? I am not, but making cards with these new stamps was so much fun. I have so many ideas for my Christmas cards this year. I should start now. These are new stamps from Impression Obsession that will be available next month. I will post a link when they are. You can check out the new Fall/Winter 2008 rubber stamp catalog and Summer/Fall/Winter clear stamp supplement. These cards spent the weekend at CHA. I have more cards that I will share with you this week. ETA: sorry that the links for the catalogs are not working. I will share them with you when they are available.

{ CPS # 73 }

It seems quiet lately. Everyone is attending CHA show in Chicago. If you want daily updates, Paul, from Tinkering Ink is uploading daily videos on the blog. Have you seen Beadles!!!! Another new product from Tinkering Ink. They are paper Die-Cuts that you can roll up and make all different shapes and sizes of beads! Yep, beads to embellish your scrapbook pages, cards and you can even make them into jewelry! How cool is that!

Here is my card for CPS #73. I used Love Elsie collection...some of the papers haven't even been touched. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color in some of the designs on the paper. I am trying to use up some of my older stuff to make room for new, just released goodies.

These other two card I haven't shared with you, I hope. I ordered a kit from Studio Calico last month...I loved it. It came with all these awesome papers and Heidi Swapp gel blossoms. The tree stamp is October Afternoon. On the second card I used Euphoria papers and October Afternoon stamps.
Here is my baby from the other day after his 6 month checkup and his shots. He was about to fall asleep after the exhausting day. We went to Kindermusik in the morning. He weighs 17 lbs and 10 oz and is 27 inches long.

Have a great weekend. I am going to a stamp show tomorrow. Oh, and I have to show you what arrived today. Wise Owl and Bellies, designed by Alli Miles. I made some cards today, but will have to show them to you later.

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's sketch 4 }

Here is my card for Laura's sketch 4. I have been busy getting some work done for CHA, now that I mailed that off I have more time. I will be able to post all the Impression Obsession goodies this weekend (I think).

I love how this card came together. I am in love with the colors of Basic Grey Euphoria collection. Can you see that ghost butterfly by Heidi Swapp? I punched some holes around the edges and threaded this funky fiber I had. I added a little purple butterfly from a beaded trim I got at WalMart. On this second card I wanted to show you this little calendar I made! These little calendar tags are very popular and all over Etsy for sale. I tried once before and it didn't work, but I tried again and I got it! The calendar is 2.5 inches in diameter and my large Marvy Uchida scalloped punch fit around it perfectly. Daisy D's, Prima and KI Memories patterned paper. I added Glitz (roller) doodle stamp to the background and ghost star by Heidi Swapp. Hambly transparency, Scenic Route star stamps, Avery tag and Impression Obsession sentiment stamp.
This last card is in August/September 2008 issue of Paper Crafts. I used Tinkering Ink Noir Blanc collection and rub-ons.

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's sketch 4 and CPS #72 }

I have to make this short because it's late and I am really tired. Thanks for stopping by for all the Tinkering Ink sneak peeks.
This first card is for 2 Skstches 4 You. I really like this new SEI paper and Chatterbox chipboard stickers and jewel brad. Die cut is Jenni Bowlin, the other jewel (on the heart) is Prima. Creative Imaginations rub-on and Maya Road sheer.
This card I made for CPS #72. It was really hard to photograph this one because the paper is shiny and then I added glitter flowers and jewels. I have to tell you about this "Sticky Face" (stuff sticks to it!) I had it for at least 4 years if not more (the date on the package is 2002). OK, but I checked the website and they still have it. Anyway, it's sticky on both sides and you can add anything on the top you want (glitter, buttons, jewels, sand....). That is how I did the glitter flowers on this card. I have Sticky Spring Shapes and Girl (link if you want to see what it looks like). SEI patterned paper, Scenic Route rub-on, Sticky Face stickers, glitter and Making Memories and KI Memories brads. On this card I used Sticky Face star and applied flock to it, it works great. I can't believe I waited this long to use it! I finally used my glimmer mist. I sprayed it on plain chipboard and I really like the way it looks and all the shimmer (glimmer). Prima and SEI patterned paper, Around the block flock, Cosmo Cricket chipboard and Scenic Route rub-on.
I have to show you this photo of Alex. Everything ends up in his mouth. His daddy tries to read him a story and he wants to eat the book...and he gets mad if you take it away...that's a new thing.

So much for a short post...good night.

{ So many things to share }

I have so many things to share with you, but lets just start with some cards. This first one I made for 2 Sketches 4 You Laura's sketch 3. I used October Afternoon patterned paper and die cut tags. I used flocking on the die cut in the middle. I got this kit from Around the Block with design sheets that have glue on the back of the design. You transfer the design on your page and then apply flock. This is the first time that I tried it. I really like it. I stamped two branches and a little bird with Maya Road stamps.

The second card I did for Sonda's sketch. I just love the cards she created. I used Sassafras Lass patterned paper and die cuts. Prima and KI Memories flower, Basic Grey brad. I cut the leaves from October Afternoon paper. Friends sticker is DCWV and the butterfly is Creative Imaginations that I inked and added a pom pom.
This one is for CPS #71. I went to Target yesterday and I found this new Making Memories patterned paper called Hullabaloo. Have you seen it? Well, I just had to have it, and now I am not sure if I like it. There are 6 different papers and I have 4 of each in the pack. The felt flowers are K&Company.
Have you seen Paper Crafts Magazine Paper Crafting with Kids ??? It arrived last month. There are so many wonderful projects in there. When they asked me to contribute I was a little stumped, but I was able to create several projects for them. All the way at the bottom is my sweet little baby boy who likes to play with keyboards. I found my old one so he can bang on it while I use the real one. Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me. Have a great 4th of July Holiday!
