( 2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's sketch #18 }

I have photos of the Project 365 album and I will post those photos tomorrow. I love Danni's idea for STASH & SCRAPS CARDS. For these cards I am using my stash, I just have to. Actually, I was alternating as I was creating. I made a card with my stash, then another with new stuff...... It feels good to cut into some of the papers I have been holding on to! This first card is for Laura's sketch. I grabbed a box and this is what was in it. October Afternoon and Creative Imaginations patterned paper, KI Memories lace cardstock. The stamp is by Inkadinkado that I got at JoAnn's dollar bin. The second card is for Rae's bonus sketch. Making Memories and Imaginisce patterned paper, Making Memories journal note, Maya Road tree stamp, Melissa Frances rub-on.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge #12 - Springtime }

I am ready for Spring, how about you? We had some chilling temperatures last night and this morning and everything was frozen. These are not sneak peeks any more since CHA is over and these stamps will be available for purchase, soon, at Impression Obsession. I am so happy that the cards I have been showing lately were displayed at Impression Obsession booth at CHA. Be sure to check out more spring cards from the IO team -- Julie, Laura, Kelli, Deborah and Dina. I used ink and a blender pen to color my images on this, first, card. I embossed the background of Basic Gray paper and sanded the embossed image. I love BG paper because of it's white core. This Sarah Phelps stamps set is full of floral images, ideal for Spring. I used Pink Paislee paper for this cute bird border stamp. This stamp image is colored with Prismacolor pencils. I used Spellbinders die cut and Basic Grey patterned paper. I wanted to show you a little peak at CupCards {to go} February kit! Kit goes live on February 5.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge #11 - Happy Birthday ~ Sneak Peeks }

Another challenge - create a birthday card ! I am using new Leigh Hannan stamps by Impression Obsession. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the cute images on first two cards. I am trying to use them more and more. I do use Gamsol blending solution. On the second card I cut out the stamped image and adhered it to the scalloped circle. I adhered the circle with dimensional tape. The last card is a row of flowers stamp, so cute. I dotted the images with red marker. { The week in photos - Project 365 - week 3 and a sneak peek }

What I busy week I had. All the birthday festivities are over and we had so much fun. This was my first birthday party with invitations, cake and a party. I am taking notes for next year on how to make things better. I was running around like a crazy person trying to get everything done and take care of Alex. When I was growing up I had a birthday party every year and a cake that my grandma baked. I have photos of all my birthdays. I want something like that for Alex. I will try to take photos of my Project 365 album this week so you can see my progress. How is everyone doing? Let me know.
1.12 - Alex's latest thing is to take his books from his bookshelf and all the other toys.

1.13 - Alex trying to squeeze behind the stereo.

1.14 - Alex received his first birthday card from my friend Susan.

1.15 - first birthday. We got him a small cake that he could eat and make a mess.

1.16 - Monkey cake for Alex. Idea came from Martha Stewart, but I did not use the same cake recipe. It turned out great.

1.17 - Alex opening presents at his Birthday party.

1.18 - Alex and daddy putting together toys.

With CHA just around ther corner, here is a sneak peek of new Impression Obsession stamps. I love all the different butterflies, flowers and ladybugs.

If you're curious to see more sneak peeks from I.O., check out these other team members' blogs - we'll be posting lots of 'new stuff' over the next few weeks!

{ Happy 1st Birthday Alex!!! }

One year ago today, Alex was born. Do you remember these photos from last year? So much excitement on that day when he came early. I still feel that excitement today and a little sad that my baby is growing up. We are celebrating his birthday today and we are having a little party on Saturday. I wanted to share this layout I did last year. I think I did it for a challenge and used all Scenic Route papers.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge #10 - Valentines's Day }

The challenge this month was to create something for Valentine's Day using our new Impression Obsession stamps. This set is by Sarah Phelps. For the first card I stamped my paper and then cut a strip for my card. I stamped word "love" on the embossed background. The sentiment is "true love", but I inked only the word "love" and since the stamps are clear I was able to see where I was stamping. For the second card I created a stamped border by stamping "XOXO" on a strip of paper. When I do this I stamp a piece of paper that is slightly larger than the card, that way I can position it the way I like it without cutting anything off. More sneak peeks to come this week of the new stamps. Check out our other designers. Michelle Deborah Dina Kelli Laura

{ The week in photos - Project 365 - week 2 }

Second week completed. This is so fun. We take so many photos that I have a hard time deciding which one, on some days. I have the first week in the album and I am finishing my journaling. I will post it when it's done. If you missed out on the Project 365 Kit, but still want to do an album, Becky Higgins has free downloads on her blog of the kit.
1.5 - Monday was really cold and frozen.
1.6 - Alex in his room. He has a thing with pillows lately. I don't know how he knows that is what they are for. 1.7 - Alex and mommy playing at home.
1.8 - Alex being cute, plying with his toys and posing for daddy.
1.9 - another Alex pose.
1.10 - Daddy loves to take photos of Alex while they play.
1.11 - This is Alex at mommy's desk. He has so much fun playing with paper, stamps, tape and Prismacolor pencils. (Do you see the mess?)

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's sketch # 17 }

Here is my card for 2 Sketches 4 You. What a fun and easy sketch. I had these yummy papers laying around from January kit at CupCards{to go}. I added Basic Grey rub-ons, Prima flower, Bazzill cardstock strip and American Crafts tub-on.

This card I made for a challenge at Embellish-Online.com Heidi's challenge was Create a layout or Card using a piece of pattern paper as your inspiration. I used Making Memories Fragile patterned paper from Passport collection as my inspiration. I stamped circles on the bottom of my card with Technique Tuesday stamps. The little bird stamp is by Prima.

I found these cute dollar stamps at Michaels by Kolette Hall. I have some extras that I would love to give away soon :)

Look what arrived today!!!! I opened it immediately and started putting it together. I love the colors and the little journaling cards are my favorite.

As soon as I have something completed I will show you. Link on the right side of my blog to all my photos. I have a blog list going, as well, for all those that are doing the Project 365. If you want me to add you please let me know.
