{ Document December 2018 }

I am so excited to share my Document December album with you. I created an album that would fit our 4″ x 6″  and 3″ x 4″ journaling tags just by punching holes to create a quick and easy December album. The album is 4.25″ x 7.25″ with two binder rings. I decorated the outside with Document December 2018 Kit  from Elle’s Studio.

EllesStudio-DanielaDobson-DecemberDays2018-01

I prepped a few pages by using some of my ideas I collected over time. One of them is this little envelope pocket I created to fit 4″ x 6″ tags. These will be scattered throughout the album. I designed the pocket in Silhouette Studio. Let me know if you want me to share the file.

EllesStudio-DanielaDobson-DecemberDays2018-02

They can be filled with photos, journaling and bits and pieces collected in December. Envelope pockets are made from white cardstock, which leaves lot of room for stamping and adding embellishments from the kit. I want everything in this album to have my own personal touch.

EllesStudio-DanielaDobson-DecemberDays2018-03

In addition to storing all of my Document December products in an Ikea plastic bin (Antonius), there is room for the album, as well. This will make it easy for me to transport all of the essentials to any room in my house for very easy documenting.  To keep the ideas in my album flowing, I also created a list of daily photo ideas and prompts.
I hope I gave you some ideas to get started on your Document December project!

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

It’s my turn to share a project I created using Impression Obsession stamps and dies. Today I have a little altered and glittery frame and I only used dies.

Peace frame by Daniela Dobson

The frame was hot pink and I painted it white. I die cut two Spring Wreaths from iCraft adhesive from Therm O Web. It’s sticky on both sides. You peel off the top liner and add glitter and peel off the bottom liner to adhere it. I die cut the Reindeer from iCraft Deco Foil white foam adhesive. It has adhesive on both sides, as well. I added gold Deco Foil. The “peace” is die cut from vellum and adhered to the reindeer.
The frame is about 4 x 4 inches.  I added gold Deco Foil to the frame using iCraft Deco Foil liquid adhesive. I just used a make up sponge to add the adhesive to the frame and then added gold Deco Foil. I love how it turned out.

That is all from me today. Have a great Thursday!

{ Paper Pumpkin Decoration }

I wanted to share a fun little project I created recently after I saw an adorable pumpkin that Gina created for American Crafts. I have been looking for Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Halloween Pumpkin at Michaels, but I never found one. I decided to make my own.

Paper pumpkin by Daniela Dobson

I designed the pumpkin in my Silhouette Studio and cut it out from patterned paper. I hade some Halloween paper and embellishments left over that I purchased at Emma’s Paperie last year. The “boo” and “happy Halloween” are die cuts from Impression Obsession called Boo and Happy Halloween. They are die cut from glitter paper. The little ghost is from Mini Ghosts die.
Elle’s Studio came out with Halloween Acrylics and Glitter Foam pieces that I added to the pumpkin. There is also a Halloween Digital Cut File and I was able to cut some bats from glitter paper.
Everything here is from my stash, some old and some new items. I already added it to my mantle. I am thinking about adding ribbon to the back and maybe hanging it in my dinning room.

Let me know if anyone is interested in the pumpkin silhouette file and I will share. Make sure you check out Gina’s beautiful pumpkin.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

It is my turn today to share a project I made using Impression Obsession dies.  Here is what I created. My inspiration came from a printable that Jen has for a download on her blog.  I used my silhouette cameo for the words and IO dies for the rest.

Halloween clipboard art 2 by Daniela Dobson

I started with a piece of chalkboard paper. The clipboard I had for ever. Seriously. I was going to alter it at some point, but now I think I will create a peace of art for each season and just change it out.

Like I said, I cut the words using my silhouette cameo. I had some adhesive patterned paper which made the words adhere to the paper easier. There is some texture to the chalkboard paper and the letters weren’t really adhered. Once I had all the die cuts in place I added a coat of Mod Podge. That sealed everything. I used a sponge applicator to add some texture to the background with Mod Podge.

I haven’t found a permanent place for this project, but for now it is on my mantle.

Here are the dies I used.

{ Christmas Wishes gift ideas }

I wanted to share two holiday gift ideas using our new Technique Tuesday stamps and dies.

The Ghirardelli box is very easy and a perfect little gift for that someone special.

Merry days open by Daniela Dobson

I used Christmas Wishes stamp set, brand new, in the store. I stamped one of the circles and used a scalloped punch to punch it out. I stamped the ornament on a one inch circle that I cut with Circles - DIY Steel Dies. I colored the ornament with watercolor crayons. It is popped up with 3D foam adhesive from Therm O Web.

Merry days box by Daniela Dobson

This adorable paper is from Elle’s Studio Good Cheer collection. I was able to fit 3 Ghirardelli Dark and Caramel Sea Salt, Chocolate Squares.

Merry days inside by Daniela Dobson

I used Christmas Wishes stamp set on this little gift card holder, as well. I stamped it and die cut it with Circles - DIY Steel Dies. The circle is just folded over the top of the Story Card - DIY Steel Die. I cut two story cards. One from white cardstock and one from patterned paper. I am using the new Pull Strip - DIY Steel Die that you can actually pull open to reveal a gift inside (gift card or money).

I stamped the pull strip and the front of the story card with Christmas Borders. To embellish the front I used Torn Spiral Edge - DIY Steel Die

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Shades of Fall }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Shades of Fall!

Our challenge starts today, October 16, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, October 22, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between October 16-22. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

This time I did not make a card. I was looking on Pinterest for a teacher gift idea and I came across these little mini coffee cups. Looks like they were really popular last year in the Stampin’ Up world, but I totally missed them. I fell in love and had to get some and make cute little gifts.

Mini coffee cup gift set by Daniela Dobson

I stamped my white cardstock with Cover-a-card Broken Chainlink and added Cover-a-Card Wood Grain with some color shine. Then I added a strip of patterned paper at the top. There might be a pattern out there, but I just traced my cup on a piece of paper to make the template. I will transfer it into my silhouette so I can cut it in the future.

Mini coffee cup by Daniela Dobson

I used a leaf from Hydrangea Set Die to cut two leaves, one from a scrap piece of fabric and another one from vellum. I broke one of my Sizzix Big Shot plates while I was in the process of embossing the leaf. I made the wrong sandwich. It was time anyway. I hade them for ever and they were looking pretty bad. Amazon has them on sale right now Sizzix Accessory - Cutting Pads, Standard, 1 Pair ($6.59).
I used Circle Greeting Cutout set for the tag. I punched the scalloped circle first and then taped the die to the middle and die cut the saying. I backed it with brown cardstock.
I stamped the Striped Banner several times and tucked them behind the tag with the leaves.

I pretty much did the same thing with the tag that I cut out from the rest of the stamped cardstock. I added a little doily on the bottom. You could add a little note to this with the gift.

What is inside you ask? Some very delicious chocolate I found. Caramel Brownie. Four of them fit perfectly. Just enough for a little treat. These little cups can be filled with whatever you want and they are perfect for any occasion.
