{ Impression Obsession - Old Is New }

Hello and welcome to another Old is New blog post.

With such a huge collection of wonderful stamps from so many artists, sometimes the older stamps in the Impression Obsession catalog find their way out of the spotlight. We don't want them to be forgotten, so from now on you'll be seeing our team feature them regularly. We hope you're inspired!

Here is a card I created using Sweet Briar Rose, Hello Friend,  Painted Stripes and Spirals Cover-a-card background.

I stamped the background with Spirals Cover-a-card background using Impression Obsession ink. For the Sweet Briar Rose I used Watercolor to loosely paint the rose and then I fussy cut them out. I used  Therm O Web 3D foam adhesive fo dimension.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Happy Haunting }

Hello and welcome to our Impression Obsession challenge -Happy Haunting!

Here is my card.

This is a very easy and quick card to make. All you need is orange and black cardstock and white ink. For my card I used Cover-a-Card Spider Web and white ink to stamp on black cardstock. I did use clear embossing powder and heat embossed the background.

The die is called Halloween Web and I cut it from orange cardstock. I used Sticky Dot Mini Runner to adhere all the little intricate pieces of the web.

Here are two of my projects created with brand new products.

For my first card I used Holly Jolly stamps set, dies and Foil-Mates. I stamped "holly jolly" sentiment on Gina K White Cardstock, repeatedly making it look like patterned paper. The Poinsettia is stamped and foiled with Gold Sequins.

For this card I used Baby It's Cold Outside stamp set, matching dies and Foil-Mates.

{ Spellbinders–Special Moments By Marisa Job }

Today I am sharing two cards I created with brand new dies by Marisa Job from Special Moments collection. 

For my fist card I used Shapeabilities Swirls Border Etched Dies Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job.

I die cut the Swirls from cardstock that was backed with iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive from Therm O Web. These swirls are so tiny and delicate, but the adhesive made it easy to adhere to the cardstock base. I pained everything with purple acrylic paint using a sponge and a light touch. Once it was dry I used white gesso to go over the swirls, which are raised. That created this wonderful background.

I added scraps of paper and embellishments from my stash with a “unique” sticker sentiment.

For my second card I went with clean and simple design using Shapeabilities Happy Birthday w/Numbers Etched Dies Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job. I love the “happy birthday” circle and ability to add any number to the center.

I used 3D foam squares to pop up both circles for a little more dimension. I used the circle die to die cut a circle from patterned paper that I cut in half and added to the top and bottom of the page.

I participated in a fun little challenge over at CSI challenge blog. I used Simple Stories Hello Summer Collection.  Here is my layout.

This layout was created for CSI Case File No. 257. This is how I solved the Case File: I used pops of yellow from the inspiration photo, I was inspired by the clouds and added my own die cut clouds with Deco Foil polka dots.I added various circle elements and flowers. I documented something about summer.

{ Impression Obsession DT Thursday }

Hello, it is my turn to share a card with you today created using Impression Obsession stamps.

Here is my card.

For this card I used Country Floral Set and Floral Heart Background. I stamped all the flowers and leaves on white cardstock with Impression Obsession ink and the fussy cut everything out. The polka dot strip is a left over piece of Deco Foil foiled polka dots.

Some of the flowers are popped up with 3D foam squares from Therm O Web for dimension. I tucked in a twine bow and scattered Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Both of these sets are perfect for beautiful backgrounds or fun clusters on your project.
