{ March 2014 Studio AE sneak peek }

I just received my March Studio AE stamp set and here is a little sneak peek of the card that will go live on March 1st.

Well done close 00 by Daniela Dobson

While I had all my supplies out I created one more card with February Best Banners- Studio AE using my favorite colors.

Love by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used Steel Die –Heart Card. I used watercolor to color the inside of the die cut, yellow. I added paste with Heidi Swapp Confetti stencil to get the white hearts. The challenge on Simon Says Stamp blog this week is to use paste and I thought it was perfect for this card. I used sketch challenge 477 for the card and RCC90 for washi and twine.

I used one of the tags from Elle’s Studio exclusive February kit to layer under my die cut. The stamped banner is tucked under the flair from {A Flair For Buttons}. I tied some twine into a bow and tucked it underneath the flair. In addition to the banners I used Labels by Ali Edwards stamp set.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge– I heart you }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – I {heart} you.

Our challenge starts today, January 16, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, January 22, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between January 16-22. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Love you by Daniela Dobson

I had a hard time trying to decide what NEW stamps and dies to use on this card. I decided on Valentine Hearts and Basic Borders. After I cut out the large heart I remembered I had the dies that go with this set. That made everything much easier. I used a CAS255 sketch from SCS for this card. This is the best I can do for clean and simple card.

Love you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created.

I hope you play along.

{ Technique Tuesday SCS sketch challenge }

I wanted to share a card I made using new Technique Tuesday stamp set called Mon Ami Paris. I used SCS sketch #320. I just love how it turned out. I am using a mix of patterned papers here: Crate Paper and My Mind's Eye. I painted the edges with Jenni Bowlin Malted Milk paint. Love that stuff.

I stamped the Fleur De Lis flourish repeatedly over the yellow patterned paper. I stamped the Eiffel Tour on the same yellow patterned paper and cut it out.

The pearls and jewels are from Prima and so is the little flower. The ribbon is from my stash.

Enjoy your Sunday!

{ Sketch challenges and Emma's Paperie }

This first card I made for CPS #57 sketch. I received this beautiful Basic Grey Sugared collection of papers to work on a special project and I had some left over. I just love Tami's sketches and I wish I had time to do them every week. This one was a late night project and I messed up the first time. I had different flowers on the top and when I flipped the card over to cut a piece of that label that was sticking out, I cut a part of the flower. After that I just went to bed. This is what I came up with the next morning.
This second card is made for SCS sketch challenge 169. Once again I used the papers from Sugared Collection by Basic Grey. I know, they don't look like they belong, but they are all in the set. The stamp, of course, is from Impression Obsession called Bloom Spray. I stamped it on watercolor paper. I colored it using SU ink pads and my blender pen. I just happen to have the colors to match the paper. After I was done coloring, I cut it out. The butterfly is from Butterfly Wishes clear stamp set and the sentiment from Mini Messages clear stamps set.
This little gift came from Emma's Paperie. I tried out for March guest designer and she sent me a little gift. Thank you Cindy. Her store is full of wonderful goodies and her blog is filled with beautiful ideas.

{ SCS sketch challenge 155 }

I made this card last night for SCS sketch challenge 155, but I couldn't get a good photo so I had to wait until today. I am using the new Impression Obsession stamps - Sweet Hearts set. They will be available for purchase soon. I used SU cardstock and DCWV patterned paper. I colored my images with chalk.

{ SCS color challenge }

I made this card for Splitcoaststampers color challenge, CC141. Pretty in pink, wild wasabi (garden green), whisper white or shimmer white. I don't have any new colors, wild wasabi, so I used garden green. I used my new Impression Obsession clear stamp set: Word circles. I stamped the flower using VersaMark. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession Spring Blooms. The ribbon from Bo-Bunny Press matched perfectly.

{ SCS sketch challenge 139 }

Well, I have been cleaning my room for the past several days...and in the middle of it all I had to stamp. This paper set was still in the wrapper, yes, if you can believe that. I am using it for the first time. Sketch is from Splitcoaststampers SC139. All the stamps are from Impression-Obsession. Paper is Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. I used my scalloped scissors I got at Michaels the other day. I just love these colors. I want to make another card tonight, but I just don't want to mess up my clean space.

{ SCS Way to use it challenge 114 }

This is my first time to try this one - Going Yo Yo. I am loving these challenges and it is fun to try new things. I have never used Yoyo Yellow or this stamp set, Blooming With Happiness, until yesterday. I like Julia's example and I was looking for red patterned paper like that, but I don't have any. I did find this hot pink one by DCWV and it matched my Pink Passion marker perfectly. I stamped, and cut out little flowers from Simply Said set. The scalloped stamp at the bottom is from Impression Obsession and after I stamped it I cut out the bottom part. The photo is not the best, it's been raining here for days. When the sun comes out I will try to take another picture.
I have so many great visitors to this blog. I will come and stop by in the next few days and weeks...I will try to answer some of your questions, as well.
Patty H. from Valleyford, Washington asked: "I would like to know how you enjoy your new blog and is it hard to keep writing in it and coming up with things to write about?"
It was hard at first, because I didn't know what to write about, and I didn't want people reading laughing at me. The more you write the easier it gets. I make sure I have something new to post and I just write about that.
Have a great weekend.
