{ Reverse Confetti May Color Challenge }

Hi and welcome to our May Color Challenge – orange, light pink, and dark pink.

Here is my card.

Thanks a bunch by Daniela Dobson

I started by using my stencil and adding modeling paste. Once that was dry I colored the background with watercolor.
I stamped a strip of paper with diagonal stripes from So Stripey using light pink. The flower from Petals ‘n Posies was stamped using dark ink. I added some orange pearls and an orange enamel dot to the flower. The sentiment is from Petals ‘n Posies set, as well.

Thanks a bunch close by Daniela Dobson

Thanks so much for stopping by.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Inspired by a Song }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Inspired by a song!

Our challenge starts today, May 15, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, May 21, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between May 15-21. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

I love you by Daniela Dobson

Not sure how much I was inspired by a song, instead I was inspired by Love Songs 1 stamp set. There is another set called Love Songs 2. First time using this Love Songs 1 stamp set. I paired it with my loved Wood Grain stamp and Tapestry Tag. Clearly, I need to use them more often. I rearranged my stamps recently and found some that I forgot about and placed them in a basket on my work table. The Clearsnap ColorBox Guava ink was a bit too bright so I mixed it with Bubblegum.
I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and adhered it to to card using 3D foam strips from Therm O Web.
I used Retrosketch #114 for this card.

I love you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created.

I hope you play along.

{ May Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our May 2014 Blog Hop. Today we are featuring projects made with Today Circles - Studio AE - May 2014.

Here is my layout.

Best memory by Daniela Dobson

These circle stamps are a perfect match for our Circles - DIY Steel Dies. I stamped them on white cardstock and then die cut the circles. In addition to the large circles, there are these tiny words that I used to add throughout the layout. I even used them as words in my journaling. I am using lots of new supplies that I received recently from Emma’s Paperie: American Crafts, Studio Calico and My Mind’s Eye.

***We are going to give away one $25 gift certificate after the hop. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is comment during the hop! The lucky winner will be announced on the 15th on the Technique Tuesday blog.***

{ November Studio AE }

If you are looking for my November Sketch For You To Try you can find it in the post below.

November Studio AE is called Relative Banners - Studio AE November 2013.

Daughter by Daniela Dobson

This set consists of 21 clear stamps on a 4" x 6" storage sheet.

The holidays and everyday life are often filled with memories of time spent with family. Relative Banners will help you label the loved ones in your photos. You can also get creative with the stamps in this set and use them to make custom gift tags, place cards and greeting cards.

Are you a fan of die-cutting? If so, you may want to consider getting our DIY Banners steel die set to use with this stamp set. The Relative Banners stamps work swell with the dies.

Have a great weekend!

{ November Sketch For You To Try }

Hi and welcome to my first sketch challenge as a part of the Reverse Confetti challenge crew. If you missed the exciting announcement you can read all about it HERE.

Here is my card.

Thanks so much by Daniela Dobson

I know, lots of things going on here, but I love it. I started by heat embossing the glassine bag with polka dots from Whole Lotta Dots stamp set. I love sketches and they can be interpreted in so many different ways. There might be some super sneak peeks going on here, but be on a lookout on November 5, for the real release/sneak peeks.

I used ribbon, glassine bag, and a border strip for all the different elements of the sketch. The pink flower had a different center that I cut off and added that pretty brad that matched everything perfectly. The pin is something I had in my stash for a very long time. I tucked some stamped strips in the glassine bag, but it can be used for a gift card, or message strips.

Thanks so much close by Daniela Dobson

If you would like to play along, and I hope you do, here is the sketch. Click on the photo and it will take you to the Reverse Confetti blog where you can find a full list of participants.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Favorite technique }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Favorite technique.

Our challenge starts today, October 17, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, October 23, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between October 17-23. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Thank you by Daniela Dobson

My favorite technique is heat embossing the background and then adding spray mist for the color. This time I wanted to do something different and I added paint instead. I heat embossed using blue embossing powder. The paint is those new Hero Arts doubers, and it really is that bright.

Thank you embossing by Daniela Dobson

I stamped the butterflies with the same color. The leaves are stamped and die cut. I love that branch die. I used to cut it out with my scissors.

Thank you close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I added a fun trim under the ribbon. The sentiment is curved to match the curve of the die cut banner.

Thank you close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created. I hope you play along.
