{ Technique Tuesday April Studio AE }

I can’t believe it’s April! Where does time go?

It’s time for new April Studio AE stamp set called Hello Routine by Ali Edwards.

Here is a layout I created with the stamp set.

A box of new goodies arrived from Two Peas In A Bucket and I couldn’t wait to play. I love the new Instaframes from Heidi Swapp. They are perfect for those Instagram photos (3x3), but I wanted to do something a little different. Plus, I didn’t have a 3x3 photo to use at a time I was creating this layout.
I cut the back of the frame and used only the front part. I did the same thing for this card. Now, I have two small photos (2x3.5) and a tag that is tucked behind to “hide” the opening. I was still able to use the rub on and the sticker that come with the frames.

Everyday stuff by Daniela Dobson

You can probably tell by now that I love my Silhouette Cameo. The new Heidi Swapp patterned paper had circles all over that I punched with 1” circle punch. I created the bottom page with the Silhouette, they are 1” circles. I filled the circles with punched paper, brads and tags. The chevron patterned paper circles are from Sugar Chic collection by Heidi Swapp and I adhered them with 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web.

The Color Magic Banner is sprayed with Sun Kissed Smooch Spritz. Love those banners.

I stamped the large word ovals with ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink: Yellow Citrus and cut them out.

The base paper is Echo Park A Boy’s Life and the little stars is My Mind’s Eye Be Amazing paper. I added some new paper tape that I got at Target. It matched these colors perfectly.

{ Make it Sunday with Elle’s Studio }

Elle asked me to create something for Make it Sunday feature on Elle’s Studio blog. Here is my layout. I would love it if you can go and check out Elle’s Studio Blog to see how I created this layout. I am happy to say that I was on the very first DT at Elle’s Studio (January – June 2010).

Daniela Dobson_This makes me happy

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the stars. If you are interested I can share the Studio file so you can make your own stars.

Have a great Sunday!

If you are out and about stop by Target and pick up some of this wonderful paper tape in the office section. They come in a pack of 4, red, green and blue. Some stores might have orange, too.

{ Digital stamps and new Cricut }

Kathy Martin asked me to make a card with one of her new digital stamps Party Banner.  Check out her blog for more wonderful ideas using this stamp.  I used October Afternoon and My Mind's Eye patterned paper. The chipboard is painted with white paint and sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz. Here is a closer look at the banner.

I made my first official card using my new Cricut Expression! There are so many things I have to learn. If you have a Cricut and have any tips I would love to hear them. Link me to some Cricut resources and blogs I can check out.
I am making cute little Easter bags for Alex and his friends that I will show you as soon as I get a photo. Here, I am cutting grass for the eggs.

As I was getting ready to list this Life Mini album in my Etsy store I got a request to make one...perfect timing. I had several other people asking about it. If you would like one, email me and I will be more than happy to make one for you. I updated the store with some new items and I will be adding more.

{ CPS #130, 2 Sketches 4 You #33 and a little giveaway }

I have to tell you, I had so much fun making both of these cards. I found some new, adorable stamps at Michaels, again. How cute is this little robot? When I saw the stamp set I thought about Alex. He is into reading robot books, especially now that he is not scared of them because they make robot noises. This first card is for CPS #130. I used Sassafras Lass Bungle Jungle collection. The little cloud I traces from October Afternoon die cut that came in the August kit from My Scrapbook Nook. I made a template and now I have a cloud to use whenever I want. The fun glitter alphas are from Michaels and they were only $1.00. There were several different colors and fonts. The stamp set is called Robots and it's made by Michaels. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the robot. I love my pencils again, and I will use them more.
This second card is for 2 Sketches 4 You #33. I fell in love with the little cute owl. It's a "solid" stamp so you can make him any color. He is red here, to match my paper.
I used some scraps of October Afternoon and My Mind's Eye paper that was laying around. I have been cleaning for months and I just keep moving little piles of paper around. I am hoping to use them all up so I don't have to put all that paper away. I embossed the Core'dinations cardstock with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The blue tag is from Elle's Studio that I won from Tara's blog. The letters are American Crafts that I stitched with my sewing machine.
If you would like this little OWL stamp then leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly pick one winner.

***I noticed as I was loading these photos that the image on the stamp is different from the stamped image...the little feet are missing. I have several of these stamps and they are all like that. I think he is still cute!

Have a great night.

{ Keep In Touch, new goodies }

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday. I wanted to share a mini album I created for Keep In Touch Card Shop. The album has a total of 14 pages and Kelly has all the pages on her blog. I will upload it to the gallery and post a link. I wanted all the fun photos of Alex from the summer in one place and this little album from Jenni Bowlin was perfect. Here are two more cards from the kit. I had to share what I got from Tara Anderson. She was a guest designer for Elle's Studio in July and had some extra goodies to give away!!! How fun are those little stamps? Thanks Tara.I couldn't resist these adorable Owl stamps at Michael's the other day, love owls. Oh, and some trees, my other favorite, and some border stamps by Kolette Hall. OK, have a great night. I have a date with an awesome, August, kit form My Scrapbook Nook.

{ 2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's sketch # 17 }

Here is my card for 2 Sketches 4 You. What a fun and easy sketch. I had these yummy papers laying around from January kit at CupCards{to go}. I added Basic Grey rub-ons, Prima flower, Bazzill cardstock strip and American Crafts tub-on.

This card I made for a challenge at Embellish-Online.com Heidi's challenge was Create a layout or Card using a piece of pattern paper as your inspiration. I used Making Memories Fragile patterned paper from Passport collection as my inspiration. I stamped circles on the bottom of my card with Technique Tuesday stamps. The little bird stamp is by Prima.

I found these cute dollar stamps at Michaels by Kolette Hall. I have some extras that I would love to give away soon :)

Look what arrived today!!!! I opened it immediately and started putting it together. I love the colors and the little journaling cards are my favorite.

As soon as I have something completed I will show you. Link on the right side of my blog to all my photos. I have a blog list going, as well, for all those that are doing the Project 365. If you want me to add you please let me know.

{ Happy New Year and a Sneak peek ! }

Happy 2009! I am excited and looking forward to the new year, but I was a little sad, too. 2008 was a good year for me, and I was sad to see it go. Now that Christmas is over, I have been working with bright, happy colors that I love. This first peek is for Embellish-Online. The gallery reveal in on January 5 and the theme is New Beginnings! The second card is for CupCards {to go}. This kit goes live on January 5. Check out the blog for more photos.Look what I found at Target!!!! Shelly posted a photo on her blog of these adorable plates. When I went to check it out they were just starting to put the Christmas stuff away and haven't even started unpacking the new stuff. I went this Monday, to a different store and they had everything. I am in love with these colors and the little owls. The cup is my favorite. There is a little owl sitting on the handle. Here is my little owl that I made. There is a pattern in Sew Simple magazine that I picked up. I added a string to mine and I am using it as an ornament on my tree. The one in a magazine is made out of fleece and is much bigger. I want to make more, but the hardest part is cutting all the little pieces. Sewing was easy, even the blanket stitch...I was able to find video instructions on how to do it since this was my first time. I really like owls. What do you think? I was able to purchase the kit for Project 365 this morning. I can't wait to see it and get started. I am still trying to decide how to share my photos on my blog. I don't know if I can post daily photos, but maybe I can set up a gallery and post my photos there. I started a blog roll on the sidebar for everyone that is doing the project. Let me know if you would like to be added to the list. That is it for the first day of the year. I spent some time changing my blog, I hope you like the new look. Have a great night.
