I am sharing one of the projects I had published in CardMaker Magazine back in 2010 - "Love notes cards and tin".

For those of you who don't know, CardMaker Magazine, is published quarterly in both digital and print formats and features instructions for creating handcrafted greetings for every occasion. It was introduced as the first major magazine devoted to the card-making craft in 2005 and it remains the leading print-and-digital publication for card-making enthusiasts on the market.

I wanted to share my very first project published by Paper Crafts Magazine, back in the day. It was a card I submitted and later received an email from Cath to make the bag and the wine charms. That started it all. Later I received more emails from Cath and invites to contribute to special edition magazines. I was even lucky enough to have several magazine cover projects.

This second project has a funny story behind it. I mailed everything to Cath and after some time I received an email that "something happened" to my project and can I make another one. No explanation was given. I thought it got thrown away, someone spilled coffee on it, it got stepped on, who knows....

 Sure, I said. I had to hunt down another piece of the same patterned paper since this was a purse folding card and I used a whole sheet of paper.

This is the original project. I know the second one looked a little different. 

I never found out what happened to this purse. Cath?

One last one to share with you. This card was submitted to one of the Moxie Fab challenges and was picked as one of the favorites.

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

I am sharing a project I made using Impression Obsession stamps for our Design Team Thursday post.

I started with Mojo Monday sketch and CR84FN color challenge.
 
The large doily is from Lace Circles by Laina Lamb,  cut using Silhouette Cameo. The smaller circle is a banner from Banner Die Cuts by Laina Lamb. I stamped the large one with Cover-a-Card Scratches CC044 with ColorBox Pigment Ink: Cranberry. The glassine bag is stamped with Cover-a-Card Thin Chevron CC107 with Clearsnap ColorBox Mix’d Media Inx: Peridot. I heat embossed it with the same color embossing powder. The bags were a sweet gift from Jennifer and I love how this one turned out.

I stamped the Cover-a-card Large Dots CC007 with Clearsnap ColorBox Ink: Sabby Pink. I stamped the Scallop Tag B8663 with the same color and the sentiment from Good Words WP349 with ColorBox Pigment Ink: Cranberry.

  One of my Impression Obsession projects using Clearsnap ink was chosen for the cover of Scrapbook Trends Create: Stamping issue. I knew about the cover, but I was so surprised when I saw it in print at a recent trip to a scrapbook store in Waxahachie, The Crafty Scrapper.

I have been busy, busy, busy, creating with my new Impression Obsession stamps and all new Prima. Getting things ready for CHA and I can't wait to share with you all these wonderful goodies.

Alex is not feeling well so I  have been taking care of him this evening. Poor baby only slept for 2 hours. He is hanging out with us at the moment. { Inspire Me 2010 }

I found something else to keep me occupied this year. In addition to taking daily photos, again, I am joining Ronda Palazzari and doing weekly ATC cards. She is posting wonderful techniques and word prompts.

How fun are these little cards! I sprayed the background with a light coat of Vintage Hymn Shimmerz Spritz. Then, I applied white branch rub-on. I sprayed over that with Ruby Shimmerz Spritz and stamped polka dots with December Sky Blingz. Pink Paislee cherub stamp, Chick note stamp from Elle's Studio, paper clip and bakers twine from Making Memories and One Bright Spot flower. A while back I found these ATC cards at Michaels, dollar bin, and bought several packages. Didn't know what I was going to do with them at the time, but how perfect are they now! I am so excited. Week 2 is posted, I better get started on that. I wanted to share Alex's birthday party invitation that I made. The little robot stamp is from Michaels. I colored him with Prismacolor pencils and gemsol. Other stamps used: Hampton Art, Sassafras Lass and Impression Obsession. Can you guess what the theme is? One of my favorite projects is published in CardMaker January 2010 issue. It's a tin with a set of four cards using Basic Grey stamps and Pink Paislee patterned paper. Two full pages, 18 &19. Second, I got a new computer and I am in the process of transferring all my files over. That is taking some time. Plus, this is a different program so I am learning all the little tricks. The problem is the font size.....everything looks different, but I will figure it out. Love the new speed and all my programs working. I had to reinstall Adoboe Photoshop and I lost all me presets and I can't find where I saved some of my bushes. They are here somewhere.

When I was out this morning I saw this awesome Holiday Cards & More, Volume 4 issue!!! I love all the projects and ideas. If you need Christmas card inspiration this is the place to find it. I can't wait to get my copy! I had this little card and a tag published in the magazine. Project 365 - week 34.

8.17 - Aquarium visit on our trip to Oklahoma. Alex got to touch a starfish and feed the turtles. He loved all the fish and had so much fun.
