{ StencilGirl/Impression Obsession Blog Hop }

Hi and welcome to StencilGirl/Impression Obsession Blog Hop.

Here is a card I created using StencilGirl Striped Circles 6 stencil.

I stamped the background with Painted Stripes Cover-a-card Background stamp. I know, It's hard to see, but it's there. I wanted it to be light. I used white gesso to paint over the card front. I used Ranger Distress stain to add some blue color to the background. Love those layers. Then, I applied Whipped Spackle with  Striped Circles 6 stencil. Once that was dry, I added pink watercolor and pink splatters.

I stamped the flower from Fun Flowers on watercolor paper three times. I painted the layers with watercolor and then cut each section out. I layered them with 3D Foam squares from Therm O Web.

 The circles are from All In One Frames - Circles. I arranged them and then added the fussy cut flower. I die cut Hello from black foam that is backed with adhesive.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Hello Sunshine }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Hello Sunshine (warm colors)!

Today I thought I wold do something a little different. A layout. I saw a sketch from Creative Scrappers that was perfect for Painted Stripes stamp. The challenge was warm colors and I did add some green and blue, but they are really soft, and are in my photos.

Best ever by Daniela Dobson

I had designed a cactus in my Silhouette Studio some time ago, not sure what for. Sometimes I get an idea in my head and I just create stuff. They were perfect for this layout. I cut some from Elle’s Studio patterned paper and some from white cardstock. The ones that were white I stamped them with Mini Patterns 4 and Mini Patterns 1. I stamped two more directly on the page, and they are from our summer collection from Lindsay Ostrom: Cactus and Cacti.

I used two other stamp sets Say Cheese and The Sun for some words on the layout. I just went into my stash and picked several stamp sets that would fit my layout. I added some color shine and Whipped Spackle with Diamond Small 6 Stencil from StencilGrilf Products. That is one of my favorite stencils and I use it all the time. Whipped Spackle is my go to modeling paste and it’s from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. It is really light and fluffy, like frosting, and it dries fast.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Happy Haunting (Halloween) }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Happy Haunting (Halloween).

Here is my card.

Candy corn by Daniela Dobson

I am using brand new, never before used stamps and dies on this card: Eat Candy Corn stamp set and Candy Corn die. How adorable is this die?  I love candy corn, like love it so much. I had to make a card with it.
For the orange background I smeared orange Faber-Castell Gelato and water. I stamped the Candy Cane Stripes on cardstock and cut it into a banner. I only partially inked the stamp and wanted the banner to look like that, distressed. The banner is popped up with 3D Foam Adhesive from Therm O Web.

I am entering the card to Darnell's NBUS #5 challenge (NBUS badge left sidebar). I have been trying to all week and finally, here it is. Never before used schtuff: Eat Candy Corn stamp set and Candy Corn die.

{ Card kit Monday–Just for you }

Hello. I have a brand new kit for you today, with a card and a video process (at the end of this post). I have two print and cut elements in this kit. The tag and “just for you” banner. If you don’t use print and cut feature you will just get the shapes of the tags. I will link a print and cut tutorial below that I found helpful. I printed the tag in black, but you can change it to any color you need. Same goes for the sentiment.

Just for you by Daniela Dobson

This card is based on one of my old cards that I created. The four harts I created several years ago and it’s free on my freebies and I am including it again in this set.

I used Color Throwdown #357 for this card.

{ Stuck?!Sketches }

Hi! I loved the sketch that popped up in my Instagram feed from Stuck?!Sketches that I had to play along. I created the layout with the sketch and then found some other fun challenges from Scrapbook.com to incorporate into my layout.

Best day by Daniela Dobson

For this layout I used Impression Obsession stamps. You have seen me use them on cards, but I rarely used them on layouts. This one started with House Plans stamped with navy ink. Those large, cover-a-card stamps are 5.75 x 5.75. One of the twist in the stamping challenge was to use Architectural/Interior Elements. I used Whipped Spackle from Faber Castel and Prima mask for some embossing and before it was dry I sprinkles some super fine glitter.

For the Silhouette challenge I cut the big hand drawn circle. It’s one of my freebies that I enlarged and cut out from white cardstock. All the paper and embellishments are from Crate Paper that I got recently from Emma’s Paperie. I am in love with the collections. I just love how it turned out. The photo is from our Universal Studios Hollywood adventure. We are in line for the fifth time for Studio Tour. Yes, we went on the tour 5 times. It was a little different each time and we loved it.

{ December 25 mini album }

I create projects for Emma’s Paperie every week. We have a ton of designer inspirations on Emma’s Paperie blog. Come and check it out.

I created this little mini album using Basic Grey Evergreen Collection.You can see a full list of supplies on the blog post HERE.

December 25 mini album by Daniela Dobson

This is the same album base I used for a different project back in 2012. It’s very easy to put together and it’s a cut file by Lori Whitlock. You will need a silhouette cameo for the album.

December 25 mini album inside by Daniela Dobson

I used Celebrating December - Memory Keepers Studio - October 2014 from Technique Tuesday for the inside pages.

December 25 mini album open by Daniela Dobson

The tags tuck into the pocket and you can add your journaling on the back. I repeat my design on all the tags changing out a few bits and pieces.

I tie a ribbon around the album to keep it closed which can easily be removed to view the inside pages. You don’t even have to untie the bow. It just slips off and on.

Some other items I made for Emma’s Paperie and you can find a link for all the supplies for each card in the title.

{ Exclusive September kit from Elle’s Studio }

Exclusive September is ready for purchase now.

Design team gallery is FULL of brand new inspiration just for you. You can bookmark your favorites, leave comments and see close ups of our design team’s projects in our gallery. Visit Elle’s Studio Blog for links to other Contributing DT members.

Here is what I created with the September kit, stamps and cut files.

I had lots of fun with this kit.

Remember this by Daniela Dobson

I cut the circle file with my Silhouette Cameo. This is the original size and it matches the cork one. I used yellow cardstock because I have lots of yellow for some reason. Anyway, I primed my white cardstock with gesso and after it was dry I taped down the template.

Elle's Sutdio circle cut file mask Daniela Dobson

I used Whipped Spackle from Faber Castell Design Memory craft to add texture. The whipped spackle is just like modeling paste, except it’s very light. You can even see that I ripped the paper when I removed the tape. Not to worry.

Whipped Spackle Daniela Dobson

I painted around all the spackle with watercolor paints. Simple as that. I stitched the paper down because it was warped from the water. I used plain, cheap cardstock from Michaels. I used My Favorite Stamp set to stamp the circles in back ink.

I added these fun Fancy Pants buttons and enamel dots I got from Emma’s Paperie. The cork hearts are one of the miscellaneous bits that are available for purchase. I cut the stack of books from one of the tags and adhered it to the layout with 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web. I couldn’t find a place for the full tag so this was perfect.

Remember this close 2 by Daniela Dobson

I tucked several hand drawn circles and leaves I created in Silhouette Studio. I stamped around the page with slanted lines stamp in orange and green ink. This is such a fun kit!!  I love it.
