{ CupCards{to go} June kit ~ Sunrays }

I just wanted to share my creations with the June kit from CupCards {to go}. Kit is on sale NOW. Make sure you check out the DT gallery for more kit ideas. Everything you see here comes in the kit, except the white and brown floss. Those came in one of the earlier kits.

I made the kite by tracing the chipboard shape that came in the kit and then cutting up the papers.

For this card I cut up the chipboard shape and covered it with paper to create the banner. You can see the step by step instructions HERE.

I created these cards especially for today. I used CupCards {to go} card kits: July - Sweet Treats and May - Painted Lady. I painted some beautiful Golden Wheat Shimmerz on the flower.

{ My Scrapbook Nook October kit, World Card Making Day }

Here is the new October kit at My Scrapbook Nook. It's ready to ship now! Graphic 45, Prima, Jenni Bowlin, Making Memories, buttons, ribbon...so pretty. It arrived yesterday and I am working on projects to share soon.
World Card Making Day is Saturday, October 3. What are your plans? I plan on making some cards with my CupCards {to go} kits. Sonda fills the kits to the max and I have so much left over. Make sure you are signed up for email updates, Sonda will let you know when she is able to return to her kit. In the mean time, please visit her blog, A Dream For Baylee, for updates about Baylee. I just wanted to share my creations with the July kit from CupCards {to go}. The main kit is sold out, but the Mini Kits are still available. There are TWO pages in DT gallery so make sure you check it all out. So much sweetness. Everything you see here comes in the kit. The only thing I added was the glitter for the butterfly and that came in the February kit. This is my sketch card. { Memories - final challenge project }

I don't have a card to share until next week with some awesome sneak peeks from July CupCards {to go} kit...you will love it...it is sweet. There are sneaks on the blog and chances to win prizes!!! Go check it out.

I have been participating in a month long challenge at My Scrapbook Nook. I was able to complete 13 layouts and several cards. One of the layouts was picked up the other day for publication by Scrapbook Trends Magazine. It's been a long time since I had a layout picked up. This is the final project for my competition at My Scrapbook Nook. I made it to the top ten last week. The challenge was to create a Masterpiece! No, "make a layout that speaks of YOU and your style. Make something interesting or beautiful. Make something that says something about you, about your life, about whatever YOU want to say." So I did. The idea came right away and I sketched this (see the end of the post for my sketch). Top of the page is cut out and the paper curled down and distressed. The butterflies are attached with the floss and tied to pins. The original plan was to hang clouds from the top in the empty space, but when I started working these butterflies by Heidi Swapp were sitting on my desk and this idea came to mind. I applied rub-ons to the butterflies. I had a hard time choosing photos, I have so many. These are from different points in my life that take me back to special memories. Journaling is a poem that I love. I used Jenni Bowlin and October Afternoon paper. I love this journaling stamp from Journaling II stamp set by Impression Obsession. The crochet flower that my mom made was a perfect touch. Sorry about the bad scan, this is all I have. The supply list is on the next page written with a sharpie and it shows through.
