{ The Card Concept #69 }

I know, totally random blog post today, but I wanted to play in The Card Concept #69 challenge. I created a mixed media background to share on my Instagram earlier. While I was reading blogs I came across the challenge and had a great idea.

I have been organizing my stamps and I came across this wonderful Lovely Lilacs that I wanted to use. I heat embossed with white embossing powder and used my watercolor to color the image. You can watch the video or go to my Instagram to view it.

The sentiment is from Life Stuff Sentiments. I heat embossed the tag with Quatrefoil Cover-a-card background. The bread tag is one of my free silhouette cut files that you can download here. I was inspired by the Lilacs in the photo.

Here is the card I created using Coffee and Donut, Arched Sweet Friend, and Pedestal stamp.

 

 

I made a little shaker card using vellum over the opening. I heat embossed the sentiment and the pedestals. The images are colored with watercolor. For the outside I added some modeling paste that I sprinkled with Strawberry Freeze glitter.

{ January 2016 Stars Card Kit from Scraptastic Club ]

Hi and happy Tuesday. I have several things to share today. First, my winner from Season’s Givings blog hop. Thanks to all who took the time to stop by and leave a comment. My winner is Maureen Hayes. Congratulations!!!

I know I mentioned before, but here it is again, Scraptastic Club has a new card kit and I am one of the designers that will get to work with them. You will see a mixture of cards and layouts since I am working with the scrapbook kit as well – Just a Girl kit and add-on. On another note, I am using Windows Live Writer, that has recently changed and now I am using the updated Open Live Writer. I am still getting used to the settings and when I schedule a post it’s off by 6 hours. If anyone knows how to fix that let me know.

I am working on finishing my December Daily and getting several planners organized. Here are my planners that I shared on Instagram, all by Heidi Swapp. Make it Happen is my work one that I am using right now. The gold one is the one I will use for daily documenting and photos. Not sure if I will use the black one. What planner are you using?
