{ Your Everyday Stamps }

My friend Ashley Harris designed some new stamps and asked me to make some projects using them. Here is what I created.

This first card combines several different stamps. I used watercolor crayons to color in the circles.

Here are two project life cards that I can use on future layouts.

For the layout, once again, I combined several different stamp sets. The circle outline is stamped with orange ink and then I added a solid turquoise stamped circle. The Journaling spots are stamped on white cardstock and cut out. I used them as layers behind the photo and the patterned paper.

Here are the stamp sets I got to play with and use on my projects.

{ Technique Tuesday Memory Keepers Studio - Sept. 2014 and blog hop winner }

Hello and happy Monday. What is everyone up to this week? What projects are you working on? I am not a project life girl, even though I did attempt it once when it was still brand new, back in 2009. It was called Project 365. You can see the start of my album here.

Now I just make story cards that I include on my layouts.

If you are looking for inspiration using our Memory Keepers Studio - Sept. 2014 stamp set and steel dies I created some Story cards.

Perfect picture cards by Daniela Dobson

I die-cut the frame with the Perfect Picture steel dies and then placed the picture right in the opening. The base is Story Card DIY Die and I stamped “love this” with the Perfect Picture stamp set.

I used the Perfect Picture stamp set to stamp on the frame cut with the Heart Card steel dies. The stamping really makes the Story Card seem a lot more personalized. I added vellum and Story Card DIY Die as a base and stitched around the edges to make a shaker card.

For this last one I stamped the words all over the front and added some embellishments.

{ Free Cut Friday and a catch up post }

I know today is Saturday, but my plan for yesterday did not work out.

We got back from our family trip to Croatia on Wednesday. Alex starts Kindergarten on Monday, and he got to meet his teacher Thursday night. There will be lots of crying Monday morning.

The supplies I took with me to scrapbook, on the plane, and while there, did not happen. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I posted this photo. I didn’t touch a single item while I was there. There was not enough time. We stayed up late and slept in. Our days were filled with visiting family, eating, and drinking. Alex played with his 6 cousins.

I did use my Instax. It was definitively trial and error, just like I read. Most of the photos turned out great, others did not. They were dark or overexposed, and you do not take close ups with the Instax.

Now, for the Free Cut Friday. I created these two cards and they are up on The Scrap Review blog for download or you can download the file by clicking on the photo. These are perfect for project life pockets.

My back to school project I created for Therm O Web uses another Silhouette cut file I created in Silhouette Studio. You can find a step by step tutorial with photos on Therm O Web blog. I used a perfect stamp set called I Love School by Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday. The stars and the banner are from Seal Companion – Star by Technique Tuesday.

 I have lots more to share, but I will save that for next time. Have a great Saturday.
