{ Citrus Tree Studio August sketch challenge }

We have monthly challenges at Citrus Tree Studio that start on the 10th of each month. My assignment was to do a sketch. Here is a card that I created using Picnic in the Park August kit.

My sketch.

Do you see my little set up for this card? On the floor, with only a few supplies. Alex was hanging out with me and "helping me".  He was more interested in his cars, though.

This was a left over piece of paper and I liked that it had punched butterflies at the top. I used Sticky Dot Runner by Therm O Web to adhere the patterned paper.
I leaves are cut with my Cricut Expression and I added some Clearsnap ColorBox Toffee Fluid Chalk ink to the edges. I added small Zots Adhesive Dots by Therm O Web to the die cut. This gives me some flexibility to manipulate and mold the leaves. I use my fingers to bend and curl the edges.

The large Zots Adhesive Dots by Therm O Web are perfect for these large flowers and a button. I used the same Zots Adhesive Dots for the rick rack. My first time using it on ribbon and I love it.

Here is my little mini album that I created with the Citrus Tree Studio August kit Picnic in the Park. It uses the long envelopes and cards that came in the kit. I added little jewels and flowers, tags that I stamped with butterflies. The large butterfly is a tag that I traced on patterned paper and cut out.
The photos are from last summer of Alex and his cousins.

The front and back pages are made from cardstock. I used two long envelopes for the inside pages that I folded and cut open on each end. There is lots of space for more photos and journaling.
I used Superstik Glue Stick by Therm O Web to adhere all the patterned paper to the envelopes. For a very strong bond, apply a thin coating to both sides. In this case, the patterned paper and envelope. I used my bone folder to make sure everything is nice and smooth.  I used Small, Medium, Large and Tiny Zots Adhesive Dots by Therm O Web for all the embellishments.
To adhere the pages together I used a strip of Super Tape by Therm O Web, close to the spine, and added Sticky Strip Runner by Therm O Web to the rest of the envelope pages.

Have a great Wednesday!

{ Picnic in the Park ~ Citrus Tree Studio August kit }

The August kit features The Girls' Paperie and Echo Park paper collections, Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paislee, K&Company, May Arts, The Girls' Paperie embellishments...check it out HERE.

Here are some of my creations.

There is a cute little bird stamp from Imaginisce in the kit. I colored the bird with Watercolor Crayons.

Kaisercraft layout stand is our product spotlight. I covered it with patterned paper. Added rolled flowers and die cut leaves. The little Pennant Stick Pins come in the kit. I pinned them to little word strips that I stamped with letter stamps from my stash.

I still have a mini album to share and a DT challenge creation on August 10th.

Have a great Monday!

{ Creative Scrappers #167 }

I created a a layout the other night for Creative Scrappers sketch #167. I have been holding on to a fun Savoring Summer kit from Elle's Studio. I used Studio Calico patterned paper and letter stickers, My Mind's Eye patterned paper and Impression Obsession stamps. I added Crate Paper die cuts, stamped butterflies and Prima pearls.

The butterflies are  Slhouette 15 D5565 from Impression Obsession and they are stamped with Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Banana. I added little pearls to the butterflies with Therm O Web Zots for Bling. I showed a photo of them in my last post.  I used Therm O Web Zots - medium to adhere the butterflies and my favorite Therm O Web Sticky Dot Runner for all the paper.

This little bracket die cut, with the stars, is cut with my Cricut Expression.  I stamped the die cut with Cover-a-card Scratches CC044 from Impression Obsession with Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink  and heat embossed with Top Boss Embossing Powder: White. Then, I sprayed the die cut with River Mossy Smooch Spritz.

Have a great Saturday!

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Orange }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. Make a card using Impression Obsession stamps and post a link to your creations on our challenge post at Impression Obsession blog. If you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

My card base is stamped with  Cover-a-Card Swirls and Stars CC054 that was sprayed with Clearsnap Gingersnap and Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. The punched paper strips are stamped with Cover-a-Card Screen CC049 in Clearsnap Colorbox Dye ink Tangerine. The card edges are inked with Clearsnap Colorbox Classic Pigment Ink in Sweet Melon.
  The birthday candles, stamped with Clearsnap Colorbox Dye ink Tangerine, and the sentiment, stamped with Clearsnap Colorbox Dye Ink in Wicked Black are from On This Day WP328 stamp set.
The butterfly is Slhouette 15 D5565 and is sprayed with Clearsnap Ginger Snap , stamped on cardstock and cut out.

I added a little pin to the butterfly with Therm O Web Zots - medium. I just created a little Zots sandwich for the pin. The Zots are super sticky and are perfect.

I added the little jewels with Therm O Web Zots for Bling. They are minuscule and perfect for the little jewels. I know that some of the jewels come with adhesive, but I have always added my own because the original adhesive is not that strong. I used Therm O Web Sticky Dot Runner to adhere all the paper elements on my card.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!
***Don't forget to link your projects on Impression Obsession blog.
