{ February Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our January 2014 Blog Hop. Today we are featuring projects made with  Best Banners- Studio AE – February 2014.

Here is my layout.

For this layout everything started with the photos, but I fell in love with this patterned paper from Basic Grey Fresh Cut collection. It just arrived the other day from Emma’s Paperie. I will have to go back and get more.

This is the first time I played around with For the Record stamp set. There are several different sets that go with the Story Card die to make a journaling card. The possibilities are endless. I made the border and then stamped the lines in the middle. There are various little words you can add to it. I can’t wait to make more and try the other sets.

I stamped the two banners from the new Best Banners stamp set and cut them out. That became my title as well.

{ Reverse Confetti February blog hop }

It’s the 8^th of the month –Blog Hop time from REVERSE CONFETTI!

Valentine’s Day is next week and it’s time to make those Valentine’s Day cards, but don’t forget those birthdays, too.  Hearts can be used on pretty much anything.

The Confetti Crew and a few other pals have designed some great cards and projects to give you just the creative spark you’ll need to make some of your very own RC magic happen!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Amber Hight’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

I started by stamping hearts from Whole Lotta Hearts stamp set on the white cardstock. I added couple of tags from Elle’s Studio and stamped “birthday wishes” from Sweet Thing stamp set. A flower, one clothes pin and some color shine splatters complete this card.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Happy Birthday }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Happy birthday to you!

Our challenge starts today, February 6, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, February 12, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between February 6-12. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

I used Mojo Monday 331 for this card. It started totally different and this is how it ended up. I used one of the older border dies for the bottom of the white cardstock.  I used a mask I created and sprayed some brand new Heidi Swapp color shine that arrived today, called Blush.

For the stamps I used the cupcake from Cake stamp set and a sentiment from Greetings Banner stamp set. I used a paper straw on another project recently so I thought I would add one to this card, as well.

I colored the cupcake with watercolor crayons and added some glitter to the top.

{ February Studio AE }

February is here, which means we are ready to show off our latest Studio AE stamp set.

Our February 2014 Studio AE stamp set – Best Banners - is out and I wanted to share a card I made with the set.

I found the paper straws at Target before Christmas and I thought it would be perfect with the stamped banners. I used 3D foam adhesive from Therm O Web to pop them up. I used Steal Die – Story Card for the 3x4 patterned paper base.

Here is the stamp set.

This stamp set consists of 9 clear stamps on a 4" x 6" storage sheet.

This set starts shipping on February 10th to Studio AE members. Not a Studio AE member? Check out the Studio AE page  for information on becoming a member. Not quite ready to commit to  Studio AE but want the stamp set? We have it available for purchase by non-Studio AE members for a limited time.

{ February Sketch For You To Try }

Hi and welcome to our February sketch challenge.

Here is my card.

I used Whole Lotta Hearts to stamp the hearts on the bottom of 3x4 notecard. Above that I added a sentiment and an arrow from Crushin’ stamp set. For the card base I used a chevron stencil and color mist. The little banner and heart are from new Elle’s Studio Love You More bits and pieces.
