{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

It is my turn today to share a card I made using Impression Obsession stamps and dies. Here is what I created.

I used Big Butterfly stamp that I stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The image and the background is colored with watercolor crayons.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut “thoughts” from black foam. I added some flowers and a leaf to the center of the butterfly. Quick and easy.

{ Impression Obsession and MISTI Hop }

Hi and welcome to Impression Obsession and MISTI blog hop.

Here is what I created.

I love that I can position my stamp exactly where I want and have a perfect placement. I started with Knotty Wood background stamp.

For my main image I stamped the leaves from Oak Set. I used three different ink colors for the leaf and I fussy cut around it. I layered two leaves together. 

I stamped one of the leaves from Leaf Stems stamp set. I colored the leaves with watercolor. I added watercolor sprinkles to the background.

I added some Whipped Spackle with a stencil to the background. The sentiment is from More Basic Greetings stamp set.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Fall Birthdays }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Fall Birthdays.

Here is my card.

I love all the new leaf stamp sets we have and had to use this Maple Set. It’s one of the layer sets. I fussy cut the leaves and adhered them to the card using 3D foam squares. The background is layered white gesso. I applied it pretty thick for some dimension and then I added watercolor.
The frame is from All-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2 and I layered it with vellum frame. I stamped “birthday” from Happy stamp set and die cut Wishes from patterned paper. I added watercolor splatters, sequins and Stickles to the leaves.

{ October 2016 Memory Keepers Studio by Technique Tuesday and World Cardmaking Day }

Today is World Card Making Day and it’s a holiday created by card makers for card makers. It started off years ago as a a day to kick off the busy holiday card making season, but it's become a day in recent years to celebrate making all kinds of cards. I hope you are having an amazing and creative day. Here is a card I created using Thankful Thoughts stamp set.

I distressed the background with white gesso and color shine. I stamped and heat embossed the wreath with gold embossing powder and stamped the sentiment and the flowers with black ink.

I used papers and embellishments from my stash that are a little older, but I still love them. I machine stitched the edges with black thread.
