{ CupCards{to go} January kit- Citrus Love }

January kit is up for grabs at CupCards {to go}. Before this post was published all the kits were available. Due to the popularity of these kits only the January Itty Bitty Kit is still available for those that just want a taste. I love the combination of Pink Paislee, Making Memories, 7gypsies and Dream Street patterned paper. Here are my cards created with this yummy kit.

Here are my photos for the week. I started Monday, December 29, 2008.

12.29 - photo of Alex in the back yard after I gave him a haircut.

12.30 - I bought Alex his second pair of shoes (tennis shoes). 12.31 - Our house in lights. 1.1 - Alex playing with mommy's purse. He picked it up for the first time that day and started carrying it around. 1.2 - Went for a walk to feed the ducks at our pond. It was 75 degrees. 1.3 - Alex was helping us take down the Christmas lights and he got a little dirty. This was one of his Christmas presents, first time waring the outfit. 1.4 - Alex reading his favorite book. Moo Baa La La La by Sandra Boynton. He laughs when we make all the animal sounds. You can always see new photos in a folder named Project 365 on my sidebar. I try to update daily. CupCards {to go} kit is up for sale. I will post my creations later today.

{ New Beginnings at Embellish-Online }

This month I got to work with Pink Paislee Sweet Cakes collection, Basic Grey stamps and May Arts ribbon. I just love these bright colors. I altered a CD Tin container to hold my "love notes". I cut up some felt hearts and added stitches to embellish my container and cards. The gallery goes live January 5 and you can see all the beautiful creations from the Design Team.

I added a link to my Project 365 photos on the sidebar if you want to take a look. I will still post them on my blog like I used to. I just want them all to be in one place.

{ Happy New Year and a Sneak peek ! }

Happy 2009! I am excited and looking forward to the new year, but I was a little sad, too. 2008 was a good year for me, and I was sad to see it go. Now that Christmas is over, I have been working with bright, happy colors that I love. This first peek is for Embellish-Online. The gallery reveal in on January 5 and the theme is New Beginnings! The second card is for CupCards {to go}. This kit goes live on January 5. Check out the blog for more photos.Look what I found at Target!!!! Shelly posted a photo on her blog of these adorable plates. When I went to check it out they were just starting to put the Christmas stuff away and haven't even started unpacking the new stuff. I went this Monday, to a different store and they had everything. I am in love with these colors and the little owls. The cup is my favorite. There is a little owl sitting on the handle. Here is my little owl that I made. There is a pattern in Sew Simple magazine that I picked up. I added a string to mine and I am using it as an ornament on my tree. The one in a magazine is made out of fleece and is much bigger. I want to make more, but the hardest part is cutting all the little pieces. Sewing was easy, even the blanket stitch...I was able to find video instructions on how to do it since this was my first time. I really like owls. What do you think? I was able to purchase the kit for Project 365 this morning. I can't wait to see it and get started. I am still trying to decide how to share my photos on my blog. I don't know if I can post daily photos, but maybe I can set up a gallery and post my photos there. I started a blog roll on the sidebar for everyone that is doing the project. { 2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's sketch # 16 and CPS # 97 }

Hi, I am back. We had a really lazy week around the house. Christmas day lasted for about three days. It took Alex that long to open all the presents...between naps, feeding, playing, sleeping. He had no idea what was going on, but there were all these new toys to play with. I am finishing up my December Daily. Well, it will take some time, all my photos and journaling are complete I am just putting it all in the album. I have been playing with some new stamps from Impression Obsession that are coming out at CHA...I will be able to show you those starting January 15. Tonight I finished my cards for CupCards {to go} January kit that goes live on January 5th. Oh, it is so yummy. Here is my card for 2 Sketches 4 You. I wanted to use my little scalloped punch that I had for a while. I stamped Love Seals by Tammi Potter from Impression Obsession and then I punched them out. Prima and Making Memories felt flower. I stamped the background with VersaMark and then heat embossed. For this card I wanted to use a different assortment of embellishments: Prima flowers and embossed heart, epoxy stickers from Target, Darice jewels, Imaginisce felt brad, buttons....My Mind's Eye patterned paper and a large scalloped punch by Marvy Uchida. CPS sketch #97.Photo of Alex playing with his little house...loves this door, as much as any other door in the house, except this one plays music when you open it. He loves to dance! A photo of our little family on my birthday before we went out for dinner. One more thing, have you seen this? Project 365. Becky Higgins has a ton of information on her blog and is giving away 3 of these kits!!! I figured since I am taking photos every day and journling this would be perfect for me. I started on Monday.
