{ American Crafts Guest Designer }

I was thrilled when American Crafts asked me to be a Guest Designer this week.  I love American Crafts and I had so much fun playing with Amy Tangerine, Nightfall and Garden Cafe.

Here is what I created.

A card using Amy Tangerine collection. Love the colors and the fabric stickers.

I fell in love with these journaling cards from the Garden Cafe collection and I used them on most of my projects. Love those leaves, too.

A layout using Amy Tangerine, Nightfall and Garden Cafe. A little bit of everything.  How fun are those Thickers? L.O.V.E.

Yes, I did use the paper flowers on all my projects!!!

A little mini album made from Garden Cafe journaling cards.

You can read more about these projects at the American Crafts Blog.

Thank you American Crafts!!!

{ Adore layout }

Here is a little layout I created for a challenge at My Scrapbook Nook using Impression Obsession stamps. The challenge: create something where a little bit goes a long way! Add a bit of bling, a bit of color and a bit of pattern.

I used Cover-a-Card Screen CC049 and stamped it with Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Bubblegum. The stamp is 5.75" x 5.75" and it is perfect for a layout background.

A few strips of patterned paper and some embellishments complete this page. The journaling background is stamped with Cover-a-Card Screen CC049 and I added a polka dot border at the top with a stamp from TypeStacks All Season WP222 using Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Licorice.

That is all I have for today. Have a great Monday!!!

{ November Studio AE from Technique Tuesday Blog Hop }

Welcome to our September Studio AE Blog Hop.
Today we are featuring projects made with the Studio AE - 25 Moments by Ali Edwards - November 2011.

Here is my project.
December Daily 2011 mini album.
This is my fourth year doing the project and everything in the album is from my stash.

I used a Sizzix die for the album cover and inside pages. Size: 4 x 4 3/4".
The front and back album covers are die cut from Real Wood Thick Birch. I found it at Michaels, long time ago. I had no problems cutting it with my Sizzix Big Shot.

I used stamps from Studio AE - 25 Moments by Ali Edwards for the front cover using Grasshopper and Strawberry Clearsnap ink. I stamped 25 Moments on a chipboard piece from FUNdamental Postage Frames. I stamped the 25 again on Kraft cardstock and cut it out. The 2011  stamp is from A Date With Ali by Ali Edwards stamp set.

The round image is stamped on cardstock and cut out. I added the berry leaves and a jewel brad to the heart.
I added a jingle bell to the bow with twine. The little snowflakes are Cuttlebug dies and the large snowflake is a Sizzix die.

The inside pages are die cut from My Mind's Eye Life Stories collection. They are all Kraft with some design.

I created the design for the first five pages and then I followed the same design for all the others. I created all the embellishments with stamps and punches, stacked them in piles and assembled the pages. I used  Super Stik Permanent Glue Stick by Therm O Web to temporarily hold the little embellishments. Once I was done with all 25 pages I started sewing. The least thing I did was stamp all the pages with sentiments from Studio AE - 25 Moments by Ali Edwards - November 2011.
I will use small photos, probably 2x3" or 4x4". For the journaling I will use a stamp from December Daily 2011 by Ali Edwards  (I have the 2010 version) or some of my other journaling notes and die cuts. The back of the pages are blank so there is plenty of room for more photos and journaling as needed. I can further decorate the pages with die cuts, brads, buttons and twine and I will do that once I add photos and journaling.

This is just a sampling of the pages I will post them all in my online gallery later tonight.
