Welcome to the Sizzix Fresh Vintage Blog Hop.
I am so excited to be a part of this very talented group of designers bringing you inspiration each week. You are in for such a treat! Every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 6 weeks (this is week 4), one of the 12 dies in the Fresh Vintage collection will be featured. 6-10 projects for every die will be posted by 75 of the most creative designers in our industry.
To view the hop, you can click on the Fresh Vintage blinkie on the sidebar or immediately below. This will take you around to all of the designers on the hop OR you can see all the links on Eileen Hull's blog.
I was invited to create a project using the Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves.
Here is what I created.
I have some photos to show you how I created this little Christmas tree.
I started by stamping the cardstock with Clearsnap Jumbo Rollagraph Stamp Wheel Doodle, Clearsnap Jumbo Rollagraph Self-Inking Handle and Clearsnap Top Boss Watermark Ink. I heat embossed with Clearsnap Top Boss Embossing Powder: Pearl. I made 3 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.
I used my Sizzix Big Shot Machine and Sizzix Bigz Die - Leaves to die cut leaves for my project. I mostly die cut large leaves and then die cut smaller leaves as needed.
I slightly curled each leaf with and end of a paint brush. I started at the base of the cone and evenly spaced and adhered large leaves using sewing pins. I did glue the leaves once I had them in the right position. I alternated the three different sizes to fill up the cone.
I added Clearsnap Glue Gloss to each leaf tip and sprinkled with Clearsnap Glitter: Peridot.
I painted the little pot to match the embossed snowflakes. I cut apart Clearsnap Design Adhesive: Let's Party and created the border around the top edge with Clearsnap Glitter: Peridot. The ball at the top is from a little branch I got at a store last year and it matches the glitter perfectly!!!!
I hope you enjoyed my project!!!

ReplyDeleteTruly a work of Art. I wish I could get my mind to work like this. I recently purchased a
ReplyDeleteBig Shot Sizzix and received several dies. I have mostly been focusing on flat items, never even considered something so dimensional. Fantastic design.
