{ October Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our October 2013 Blog Hop.

Today we are featuring projects made with Hello December - Studio AE –October 2013.

Here is my layout.

December traditions by Daniela Dobson

I gathered all my green inks and started stamping the star strips on white cardstock. Once I had enough, I cut them out and adhered them to the center of the white cardstock, totally random. From there I added the photos and they are all adhered using 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web.

Do you think I went a little star crazy??? I do love stars and some of them I have been hoarding for a long time….like those Jenni Bowlin green star stickers and the red polka dot star. Not sure if those still exist. Happy I was able to use them today.

I couldn’t complete the layout without any flair. I received some new holiday ones from {A Flair For Buttons} and these used here are from Hashtag Winter Flair, and the blue stripped one is from Stripes 2. It fits perfectly with my touch of blue that I love and got the idea from new Elle’s Studio Noel paper collection.

This month's theme is Halloween! I made Halloween treat bags using some bags I sewed together and Samantha’s Silhouette files.

Halloween treat bags by Daniela Dobson

Samantha Walker Supplies:
a2 card crescent closure halloween webs
border of skulls
Booti-ful Cameos JustRite Clear Stamp Set

Other Supplies:
Therm O Web Adhesive
Clearsnap and Ranger ink
The Twinery Twine
Impression Obsession tags die
Parchment paper

I made the bags out of parchment paper. I cut mine 4 1/4 x 10 inches, then I fold it in half and machine stitch the sides.

I stamped the frame in orange on one bag and a different frame in black on the other one, using Booti-ful Cameos stamp set. Just make sure the ink is dry before you continue decorating the bag.

Step 1 Daniela Dobson

I cut the border of skulls in half and resized it to 4 1/4” and adhered it to the front using 3D Foam Squares.

For the second bag I cut the bottom of a a2 card crescent closure halloween webs and used it as a border. I backed it with black cardstock.

To finish the bags I added twine and stamped a spider and “boo” on some tags. The treat bags are filled with candy corn, my favorite.

{ World Card Making Day 2013 }

Happy World Card Making Day!! I hope your day is filled with creative endeavors. Check out Paper Crafts blog tour for World Card Making Day celebrations and a list of blogs participating this year.

Fabulous by Daniela Dobson

For this card I used brand new, Technique Tuesday, Magic Circle Die Steel Die. First I cut a base using Story Card Steel Die. That is just a standard 3x4 card with rounded corners. Love it. I painted it with chalk paint, you can still see the strokes because I wanted it to  be imperfect. Then the layer over that is Magic Circle die cut. I stamped “Thank you for being” from Incredible by Ali Edwards, in gold ink, and then die cut the word “fabulous” using Say It – Fabulous Steel Die.

All the card edges are painted with cream paint and so is the die cut word. I added a flair from a {A Flair For Buttons} and adhered it to the hemp bow.  If you like {A Flair For Buttons} they are having a blog hop today and a special coupon code for 10% off on all orders thorough Monday. The coupon code is DCWVHOP13.You can find all the details about the hop on the blog.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Colors of Fall }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Color of Fall.

Our challenge starts today, October 3, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, October 9, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between October 3 - 9. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Thanks by Daniela Dobson

I remembered I had this wonderful tree that you can add leaves to it!!! It is older and I had it for years (5+). It is called Branches of the tree. I love it because you can make it any season that you want and I wanted to use it for this project.

I gathered some supplies that I wanted to use and it went from there. There are some stamps on here that I didn’t use. I have this little box on my desk, that I mentioned before, with little bits and pieces and that is where I got everything for the card. Except the ribbon and twine.

Here is a close up. I forgot to take a photo of the tag (sorry). I stamped the chevron on the top and on the left side it has triangles in brown ink from Numbers set. If you haven’t seen it yet go and check it out, click on the link in the supplies. It is designed by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer.

How cute is that deer? I added some 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web. The sentiment I used says “many Thanks”, but when I was cutting it out, I didn’t like the way it looked, so I left it off. For my background I started with CAC Scratches in orange, then added CAC Graph Paper in brown and a touch of CAC Thin Chevron in green. I should have made a video. It is really simple and fast.

Thanks close by Daniela Dobson

That is all from me. Make sure you check out what the rest of our DT created. I hope you play along.

{ October Studio AE }

Happy October 1st!!! I can’t believe it’s October because here, in Texas, it’s still hot.

October Studio AE is called Hello December and it will available on the website later today.

I love the new stamp set and had to dig out some Christmas papers to complete this layout. I received a sweet package last year from Echo Park and I love their This and That Christmas collection.

Favorite memories by Daniela Dobson

I tucked my journaling in the little bag and I used  a note from Elle’s Studio Be Merry Collection. We go to the North Pole Express every year and it is our little tradition.  I stamped the little banners from the new set with gold ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used couple of {A Flair For Buttons} buttons, totally not Christmas, but Shelley has a bunch of new Holiday flair in the store. I did use a different Technique Tuesday set called Hello Santa Banners by Ali Edwards, to add above that one photo. There was an empty space that needed to be filled.

Have a great Tuesday!
