Hi and welcome to our die hop day 3.
Impression Obsession has so many NEW DIES in the store you have to check them out. Our Design Team will share their projects for the next three days. Hope you find some favorites because there will be a winner each day.
Here is my card.
I went pretty simple today and I hope you like it. My background is Kraft paper that I painted (loosely) with chalkboard paint. I bought a bottle earlier this year when I was making name tags for Alex’s birthday. Here are the supplies I used in addition to the dies and stamps.
I die cut the Bare Christmas Tree from blue cardstock. There are two there, not sure if you can see. The bottom one is dark blue and the top is light blue. It gave the tree more dimension. I die cut the stars from gold metallic paper. Don’t ask me where I got it, but as I was working I thought how the stars would be so pretty in shiny gold paper. Then I remembered I had some. I have silver too!!!
You can hardly tell in this photo, but I added 3D paint to the tree and sprinkled them with glitter. The tiny gold stars and bow are adhered with Zots for Bling from Therm O Web, perfect size. I used my white gel pen to add “stars” to the chalk background background.
The sentiment, from Christmas Trees, is stamped with white ink and since it was still wet when I sprinkled the glitter, it has glitter as well. I smeared the actual chalk on the background to make it look like a real chalkboard.
I hope you enjoyed our blog hop and my creations.

ReplyDeleteWonderful card!! That lovely Bare Christmas tree die would be gorgeous dressed up in any setting, but your chalkboard idea really sets it off....as it looks "line-drawn" like something on a chalkboard. Wonderfully creative design. TFS.
