{ Impression Obsession New Stamp release }

Today is our second of three New Stamps and Stamp Set Releases scheduled for March, April, and May. The stamps are cute, pretty, and fun too.  You won't want to miss out.  The Design Team will create cards with the stamps released that month on the challenge date posted.  You will still be able to join in the challenges by building your card around the theme and the Gift Certificate winners will still be awarded by Random.org.  So get busy out there and celebrate with us.  Invite a friend and stamp up a storm!!

We have a brand NEW WEBSITE, too!!! Come and visit us.

Our next challenge starts today, April 5, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, April 11, at 10 PM. If you would like a chance to win free stamps, get busy out there, then post creation at the bottom of the post on Impression Obsession Blog, between April 5-11, using Inlinkz. The theme is: Summer Fun In Water and Sun!

Here is the card I created with a brand new set called Layla & Ginger CS357. Isn’t she cute? Where is Layla, you might ask? Well, she didn’t fit this particular card, but I still have her.

The image is one big stamps and the sentiments are separate. I used my scissors and cut Ginger out, as seen in my card above.

You can easily ink all the images separately and I did that when adding the bottom scene.

I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils. After I colored her in, I made a mask and stamped Cover-a-card Fizz over the top. I added twine to the bottom and some paper tape from Target to the top.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!

{ CR84FN Color challenge and Two Peas sketch challenge }

I have a double card post today. I created these early last week, but then I got sick and didn’t get a chance to post it.

For this first card I used Saturday Card Sketch challenge for Two Peas and I used my new Silhouette Cameo Sketch Pens.

Miss you 54555

I created the flowers in my Silhouette Studio, all on my own, and I am so excited about that!!!! I really want to do a tutorial because it’s so easy to do!!!  Let me know if you are interested in something like this, a tutorial and/or free download. Do you see the yellow outline? I probably should have used purple, but this was truly my first try and I liked it.

I inked all the edges with Clearsnap ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in Toffee. The chevron stamp is from Impression Obsession. The butterflies are cut with the Silhouette and I covered them with washi tape from Cute Tape.

The second card is fro CR84FN 50 color challenge. I liked the colors together. Using all Impression Obsession stamps.

Friendship 54622

I just love these two on the bike. Perfect for a friendship card.

Come back on Thursday for another new Impression Obsession release!

On another note, we were able to go to the Dallas Arboretum and spend a day enjoying the spring blooms.

{ Technique Tuesday April Studio AE }

I can’t believe it’s April! Where does time go?

It’s time for new April Studio AE stamp set called Hello Routine by Ali Edwards.

Here is a layout I created with the stamp set.

A box of new goodies arrived from Two Peas In A Bucket and I couldn’t wait to play. I love the new Instaframes from Heidi Swapp. They are perfect for those Instagram photos (3x3), but I wanted to do something a little different. Plus, I didn’t have a 3x3 photo to use at a time I was creating this layout.
I cut the back of the frame and used only the front part. I did the same thing for this card. Now, I have two small photos (2x3.5) and a tag that is tucked behind to “hide” the opening. I was still able to use the rub on and the sticker that come with the frames.

Everyday stuff by Daniela Dobson

You can probably tell by now that I love my Silhouette Cameo. The new Heidi Swapp patterned paper had circles all over that I punched with 1” circle punch. I created the bottom page with the Silhouette, they are 1” circles. I filled the circles with punched paper, brads and tags. The chevron patterned paper circles are from Sugar Chic collection by Heidi Swapp and I adhered them with 3D Foam Squares by Therm O Web.

The Color Magic Banner is sprayed with Sun Kissed Smooch Spritz. Love those banners.

I stamped the large word ovals with ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink: Yellow Citrus and cut them out.

The base paper is Echo Park A Boy’s Life and the little stars is My Mind’s Eye Be Amazing paper. I added some new paper tape that I got at Target. It matched these colors perfectly.
