This is my second post for the day, If you are looking for my Impression Obsession - Give Thanks challenge you can find it HERE.

Hi and welcome to 25 Days of Christmas Tags organized by Tracey McNeely. Today Technique Tuesday DT is sharing their tags made using Technique Tuesday products. Tracey McNeely has been doing the 25 Days of Christmas Tags during the Christmas time for past five years.  There are lots of guests and giveaways along the way! To find all the info and how you can win some awesome prizes check out her blog HERE.

Here is the tag I created using Jolly Holidays stamp set. In addition, I used Lots of Dots and Story Card - DIY Steel Die,

I used chalkboard paint for the bottom portion of the tag. I stamped the dots on the bottom and added some washi tape and glitter ribbon. The tree I colored using Prismacolor pencils.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge – Give Thanks }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Give Thanks. We had lots of participation in our last challenge, “Feeling Blue”, and I hope this one is just as fun.

My card today has a very interesting color combo. Not my typical colors, but I really liked the challenge at Color Throwdown #367: gold, coral and green!

Thankful by Daniela Dobson

If you know me and have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I like to mix different stamps and patterns together. One of these days I might make a clean and simple card, but not yet.

I started with the Tapestry Tag that I layered over All-in-One Frames - Rectangles 2 I die cut from gold paper. The Peony, from Peony Set 2 and Peony Set 1, is stamped with Cameo Coral, old Stampin’ Up ink that I had for ages. I was able to achieve different shades by stamping off for the first, light layer, and then stamping with regular color, and third layer I double stamped. It worked with one ink pad. That is the only coral color I have. Same with the leaves. I used Old Olive.

I fussy cut the flower and leaves and added foam adhesive to the flower for dimension. The card base is stamped with Cover-a-card Screen. The sentiment is from Be Grateful stamp set. I added twine and sequins to finish the card.
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #293 for this card.

{ Card Kit Monday–Tags and Branches–take 2 and a video }

Hello and happy Tuesday! As you can see, I have lots of Card Kit Mondays on a Tuesday. Yesterday was my catch up day. Alex was sick last week with a very high, asymptomatic fever. All the tests they could run at the office were negative. Luckily it went away after three full days. I don’t like it when he is sick, but I do like all our time together, snuggling, reading, watching TV and just hanging out. Who doesn’t. Everything else becomes less important.

I have to share some exciting news!! I was asked to join Scraptastic Kit Club! I will share my awesome kit that arrived yesterday and lots of projects that I make on my blog.

My card for today is full of layers and goodies. Watch the video. I am just so indecisive. I had no plan for the card at all.

Can you see all the layers? I just love playing around with all the stamps, mixed media, glitter, sequins and  mist. All the patterned papers are from Crate Paper that I got from Emma’s Paperie. Photo corners and all my adhesive is from Therm O Web. The stamps are from Impression Obsession.

Once again, if you make something with the kit please share and let me know. I would love to see. You can download the kit HERE.

Here is the video or watch it on YouTube.

Let me know if you have any questions or ideas for a different card kit. Have a great day!

{ November Scrap Our Stash Challenge #32 Guest Designer }

I was asked to be be Guest Designer for November at Scrap Our Stash. I recently discovered their challenge blog and I love it.

The November Stash Challenge #32 is to create a layout and to include an item from your stash for each letter in the word A-L-B-U-M-S.

I had to challenge myself to get some of the items from “ALBUMS” on the page. I really had a hard time with “U” and umbrella kept coming up. I knew I had a photo of my son with his umbrella so I thought I would design one in my Silhouette Studio. The umbrella creation prompted me to make a cloud with some rain coming down.  I designed the page with a large letter “A” that is outlined with a Silhouette sketch pen and then cut out with the Cameo.

I tried to use lots of little bits and pieces I have been holding on to. Like I said, I designed all the elements in my Silhouette Studio: cloud with rain, letter “A” and the umbrella.

I included a quote and used an old stash of sticker alphas. “When life gives you a rainy day, play in the puddles.”

Here are all the challenge supplies I used on the layout:

A – letter A (for Alex)
L – lines on the paper background
B – buttons
U – umbrella
M – modeling paste (for the triangles)
S – stripes, stars, Silhouette, and stickers

Check out Scrap Our Stash Challenge blog for all the details and how play.
