Good morning. Just wanted to share some of my layouts I created with this beautiful May kit from Scrapbook Circle.
1. Create a layout that boldly mixes patterns. We would love to see a Scrapbook Circle kit in action, but any materials will do.
2. Post your project to your blog, a gallery, or our Facebook page. Come back to this post and leave a comment with the direct link to your posted project.
3. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, June 5th, 9:00 pm Pacific. That’s right – you have three weeks to complete this challenge!
A $10.00 shop credit will be awarded to a randomly selected player. Good luck and happy scrapping!
Here is my layout. I hand wrote the title on different patterned papers and cut them out.
I don’t like to use bright, busy, patterned paper as my background, but I loved this one from Basic Grey Mint Juleup Naomi. I cut it slightly smaller than 8.5 x 11″ and adhered it on yellow cardstock. It makes those yellow flowers pop. The two Instagram photos were layered over some lighter patterned paper and a Fancy Pants Trendsetter Decorative Bag.
I lightened up the bottom with a mask and some color shine.
I really liked the Fancy Pants Trendsetter Decorative Bag with stars, that came in the kit. I love stars and use them quite often on boy layouts.
I used a star pattern mask from Studio Calico that came in our add-on January kit and added modeling paste to the mask. You can use any mask that you have. I even tried regular cardstock with punched stars and it worked the same. Once the modeling paste was dry I added drops of mist.
I added more die cut stars from white cardstock. Some were cut with Silhouette Cameo and some were punched out. If you need some stars I have a free file download on my blog for Silhouette users.
In the end I added three Basic Grey Metal Studs/Brass Stars to the page.
Have a great day. We are getting ready to go and spend our day outside!!
Saw your feature on Sweet Stamp Shop and I had to come check out your work! I love your style. These pages are beautiful.
